this store went together, fairly easily took care of an issue where our old door would no longer fit
This is perfect for the entrance to my office, just inside our front door! I needed a bi-fold door as it doesn't take up much needed space. Plus, the barn door hardware suits our old house. A fairly easy install for someone with a little experience with this type of thing.
Good quality that met my expectations.
When making the frame for the door, make sure it is smaller than the actual door size To use as a barn door. Bifold door is not oversized. It’s sized for a traditional bifold.
Damaged on Delivery
First delivery was damaged beyond repair. Called Home Depot Rep and arranged for return and replacement. HD rep was very helpful. Second delivery was slightly damaged upon unpacking but figured I could deal with it. Installation of first set of double doors (right side) went OK. Directions OK but could have been in larger print. Upon installation of second set (left side) found a broken roller that could not be repaired. Bottom of plastic shaft that holds roller spring was broken off, thus roller could not properly engage track. Researched for roller replacement online, but could not find anything. I guess I will have to contact HD again. What a disappointment. I also discovered two small indentations on top of second set. Evidently, a small bit of debris caused the damage when doors were closed upon themselves for shipment.
great doors but delivered damaged
Doors look great. Love the color. Unfortunately significant damage to the doors when delivered. Delivery took several weeks. We had to finish a project and had no choice but use damanged doors. Considering the damage i would not recommend these doors or ordering any doors from Home Depot
Poor and incomplete instructions.
The door is a common bi-fold door, complete with aluminum hinges, that leave holes when removed.
For the second time I was sent the wrong item and damaged!!!
It did not meet my expectations. Cost me an an $150 for the contractor to work with what was sent. We still don’t have the hardware and Calhome was not the manufacturer of the door that was sent. I still need a whole new set of hardware and have had no luck getting it
Instructions are really bad
Arrived damaged in the box, poor quality, instructions are terrible. Returned.
Doors are nice but they came with little chips in the paint. I had to pay to have them painted!
The door is okay but had to drill new holes for hinges because door open in the wrong direction for our space.
It was a regular bifold door with hardware. Overpriced. Difficult instructions.
Save your money!
First set of doors I purchased had transport damage. Customer service was kind enough to provide a 10% discount on them. Received the second set of doors and I must say, not impressed for spending that kind of money on them. I thought for sure they would be somewhat heavy duty over the cheaper options but I was wrong. Very fragile and the paint job is lack luster. I would go for either the cheaper option and spray them or go for a solid wood application.
This item could be a beautiful solution for a pantry door, but…. The installation instructions are so poor even for a professional installer. There is no adjustment to the rail system, seems odd.
Flimsy door, terrible customer service
Should have read the reviews. The 2 doors’ patterns didn’t line up right so that I had to cut 1/4” off the top of one and the bottom of the other to get them to match. The temporary hinges had irregular holes that did not line up with the new hinges. The instructions were worthless and measurements not even for this door. The bar across the top is too long so i had to cut it down for my closet. The door is only covering a furnace and won’t be high use or it would never hold up.
Product was fine, doors were banged up during packaging. It required me to fix numerous spots. I bought two of these, same issue with both doors.
This door was disappointing for how much it cost. No door handle. Metal iron frame is much wider then Door and doesn't look right. Door itself seems flimsy. Overall I was disappointed. Don't waste ur money.
This negative review is not of Home Depot, they have been extremely helpful with the exchange, but this is a review of the product which is an outside vendor for Home Depot. I ordered a bi-fold door and the door was damaged on the inside part (not from shipping). Because the door is bi-fold, it was folded in the box, so ironically the part with the hole could not have been caused from careless shipping. No big deal, Home Depot helped me return and get a replacement, which it came. The second door has so many defects, which is a shame because it was nicely wrapped and I cannot blame FedEx. For the price of the door, it is cheap/fragile material. I highly recommend not buying for this price because you’ll be disappointed. This is a $150-200 at most door. I wish you could see a sample at one of the doors prior to ordering in which you can feel the material. I believe the two doors were defective from the manufacture and just being shipped out to the customers.
we thought we were getting a light brownish and it's a dark dark brown
