My wife uses this Mortar and pestle 3 days a week. that is testimony enough, if it did not work well for her should would not use it. She's happy so I'm happy. my order came in on time, it was well packaged, no damage

I cured it with grinding white rice twice to make sure there were no micro bits of any debris from making and then rinsed with water and once it was dry ground up some grains of paradise seeds to make lentil soup. I love it. It is nice and big, not too big, and not too small to make a good amount of salsa.

Granite mortar and pestle review

I bought this mortar and pestle for a friend of mine for Christmas who is making her own medicine and cough drops. She had struggled to find one that was large and"grabby" enough. This one is the real deal. The stone has enough texture to help grab the ingredients enough so you can real pulverize it. I love the weight and feel of it as well. She loved hers so much that I ended up buying one for myself as well. I would highly recommend this mortar and pestle.

Nice quality & make for easy grinding

I really like this product, do not let the picture fool you, although it looks very pours, in fact it is very smooth inside. That way items that you are grinding down will not be hard to remove. The mortar is a nice weight to it and makes for easy grinding of food ingredients. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends, and a great gift for your person who makes salsas.

Great buy!

Its a very nice mortar and pestlewell made and attractive. Its not so heavy that you would break your wrist trying to lift it and wash it. Its substantial enough to grind stuff without moving around. The pestle shape fits naturally in your hand for good leverage. I am happy with this purchase.

This is a large, heavy, sturdy, and rough surface mortar and pestle, which is what I was looking for. I bought it as a versatile piece for grinding everything from dried herbs and seeds to egg shells (which I use to amend my garden soil). It's also large enough to make a big bowl of homemade guacamole :)

My hubby bought this for me. Have not used it yet but have gotten it seasoned. But from what I have seen it's wonderful. I love that it's heavy durable

I have never owned a mortar and pestle so I thought I would try one for making salsa and grinding spices. I absolutely love this one made from granite. It is very high quality and easily grinds ingredients for a delicious homemade salsa. My husband and I both love it!

Solid piece of stone, and a nice kitchen piece.

Way nicer than the tiny mortar and pestles most end up with. This is a substantial piece of stone, and the felt feet give it a nice place on out counter. Order this, for cooking and just display.
