Efficient and ease of use

Unit is very efficient with on-demand hot water use. Very clean design with simple operation and maintenance. Quiet as if it wasn’t there compared to a conventional water heater.

my water is not getting hot enough

At 10 months had to replace, not sure if there was a power surge or what but it went out and after a couple parts had been replaced AO Smith replaced the entire water heater. Thank you, AO Smith, for replacing. I do like the tankless water heater. It does take time for the water to warm up, wish we could adjust the temperature. We put another one in my childs house that was different, also gas. It does not make the noise that the AO Smith brand does and works great. I don't think the AO Smith brand is bad, just think it needs some fine tuning. like not soldering in the fuses in, but I don't know maybe that is how everyone does things now. I will say that they do cover a lot of parts. So that is a good thing. Would I recommend this product, it's more a maybe. Since this is the only one, I have owned and this is my second one in less than a year. I need to give it some more time.

lots of hot water

I boutgh this five years ago and it syart to leak. contact oasmith about this problem and they guided me on how to determine the problem Endedup rturning leaky one back to lowes and recieved a new one the only problem was it cost me 11 hundred $ to get this done great warrinty but know on the labor

We have had this new water heater for a month and love the fact it doesn’t take up as much space as our old 40 gallon tank water heater. We also love the fact it has hot water in no time.

Excellent Quality and Performance

We had this tankless water heater installed because our 50 gallon gas water heater was starting to have issues. This unit is quiet and produces hot water instantly. AOSmith has quality products and will be all we use again.

Great Product

No continuous hot water here

Plumber installed this yesterday. The unit is not supplying continuous hot water to our bathroom upstairs and another downstairs. Never had this issue with the old water heater (traditional) before.

We use these units on various properties and they have never had any issues. Great reviews from our tenants. I even put one in my parent's house.

American made, well know manufacter, good product

We installed a tank less water heater in July 1999. When that one stopped heating water hot enough and repair was not an option we knew that we wanted another tank less water heater. The features of the 240H and that I could pick it up at Lowe's made it an obvious chose.

Noisey!

This tankless water heater makea too much noise!

Exchange another water heater.

The plumber has checked the water pipes and water sources and there are no problems, but the water heater is not igniting, so there is no hot water.

Support will not help if you install yourself.

I installed this unit per the instructions and water only got lukewarm. Because I did not have it professionally installed, support would not suggest actions I might try to get it working. They just want to sell it and don’t care if it works for you or not.

Easy to install

Very easy to install. We replaced a 40-gallon propane water heater with this one and are happy with the performance.
