Brio 500 series water cooler

The compressor is to loud and the stainless steel at the top base of the cooler vibrate when its running.

Nice but not perfect water cooler…

Wish I could give it five stars, I am happy with the cooler. There are a couple of minor issues though and hopefully one doesn’t turn out to be a real problem.

Don't WASTE your money

I received this as a housewarming gift, and the hot water function stopped working right after the warranty expired. I called and emailed them many times, did all the steps they told me, took pictures and videos, and they told me there was nothing they could do about it and offered me a 10% discount code. Do they really think I would buy any Brio product again?"

Works, but loud!

I bought this model to replaced a broken Primo cooler. This unit is much bigger and I am shocked by how loud it is!! It’s louder than any of my other kitchen appliances (fridge, dishwasher) and I can hear it while I’m watching TV in the next room. It runs often so it’s not a noise that occasionally occurs. Water temperatures work as expected but I’m debating returning it because of the noise.

Missing Something Important

Years ago, we had a bottom fridge with our cooler. We settled for bottom storage when those models disappeared. Now I opted for stainless reservoirs, a good warranty and hopefully better quality with no storage. However, seeing the big empty space at the bottom, it would have taken Brio very little to give me a hinged door and compartment at the bottom. I would have been thrilled with this model. Instead, I will probably be annoyed every time I look at it. Fail, Brio

this is the second brio water cooler that I have purchased and each time after one year the hot water feature went out. I called your number and all I got was try the 6 steps which I already had and then if that does not work take pictures,make videos? what?

Good machine. Uses low energy and keeps water nice and cold. Also, arrived much faster than expected

Works very well for us

This top load water cooler works very well for us. The two taps that my wife and I use regularly--the hot water and cold water taps--both deliver as advertised. We especially like the hot water safety feature. However, as others have reported, the room temperature tap falls short--usually about 10-12 degrees too cool. Also the condensers need more noise insulation. Not a concern for us because the cooler is in our laundry room. But if it were located, instead, out near our kitchen table, it would be--for us--a distraction. If you need a very quiet cooler, I would look elsewhere and incur the extra cost.

Brio Hot and Cold Room temp water dispenser was an excellent choice. I enjoy every feature. It fit right into the designated kitchen space. The only thing is that when I’m trying to fill room temp water, the water is cold.

Excellent product and Amazing customer service

Brio is an excellent water cooler and the Brio company has amazing customer service. I purchased the 500 series water cooler last October for my small business. I developed an issue with my cooler after 8 months that I'm pretty certain that I caused. Nevertheless, Brio offered to send me a replacement free of charge and even paid to send the initial unit back. Rudy at Brio was absolutely amazing. He kept in touch weekly throughout the process with updates and made the exchange smooth and with little downtime. The 500 series cooler is a great product and I highly recommend it. Brio is an excellent company to do business with!

Just ok

Does the job for the most part. Cooling function is too loud in my opinion, so we are not using that. Hot water is fine and room temp are the two functions we utilize. Given this is supposed to be a three function unit, I would likely go with a different brand when this one breaks down.

OK for a few months, then major leaks. No support

I used this for about 6 months and recently I heard a dripping sound inside the dispenser, increasingly frequently. Worried, I often checked the sides of the machine and around the bottle. Nothing was wet. Last week, I began to see a big puddle form from underneath the machine--water seeping out the bottom seams of the unit. It didn't stop leaking until I unplugged the machine. I quickly contacted Brio-who replied 3 days later demanding extensive evidence, caring more of liability than quality

I really like this unit.

I should have gotten one these years ago. We love having hot and cold water any time we need it. The machine works great... no problems with it at all.

Drink more water!

I really like how easy this water cooler was to set up. Also having 3 spouts makes it easy to know what temperature of water you are getting. It's great for my autistic son to use when he wants hot chocolate or a cold drink.

easy to use and install

Bought this to replace an older model. Its a standard cooler where you put the bottle on top. It dispenses 3 temperatures and has a pretty large dispensing height. No complaints about this product.

Overall nice cooler

Overall is a nice cooler. However, the description said there was a night light; however, the one I received disappointingly has no night light. So paid for something I didn’t receive and customer service was of no help and didn’t seem to care.

Really Great!

I bought this a few weeks ago & truly am enjoying it. It is initially a bit loud upon first set up but then immediately calmed back down. Was tried of the increasing monthly fee from Readyfresh by Nestle, and this cooler is much nicer looking & functional. Great!

nice cool water

After receiving a couple inferior coolers I decided to give Brio a chance. Well was I suprised how fast I received it and It was packaged perfectly. No damage during shipping.

It's a good water dispenser so far (knock on wood). The tray was kind of tricky at first, but we figured that out. Only thing that we don't like, is that there isn't enough height space to fit a full thermos, or full size water bottle (as our old Whirlpool did). Other than that, it's a good appliance for the money spent.
