A huge help!

This is great. Allows you to use your own toilet and gives you stability and an aid to get back up. My husband had complete knee replacement surgery and this has been a huge help.

Easy to put together- no tools required. Very sturdy.

Toilet safety rails

Rails are sturdy, but suction cups do not adhere to the floor for stability. Rails have too much movement to be safe for my husband.

I'm not depending on my bathroom vanity and my fading strength to get up and down off the toilet anymore !

Could be improved

The back rail of the brace is too high. It doesn’t allow the toilet seat and cover to be pushed completely upwards and back to a stable upright position, where the seat won’t drop forward and down. If the back support rail was lower, at the hinge area of the toilet seat where there is a larger gap to better accommodate the rail, this issue of a falling seat would be eliminated.

this worked well for my husband after his hip surgery. we really didn't need anything permanent and it fit the bill. the only con with it was that if not positioned centrally, it hung the toilet handle not letting the water shut off. It was just a matter of watching the placement. I would recommend this product.

Unstable

Product is somewhat flimsy and unstable. Don’t purchase if you’re looking to put any weight on it. I have a broken leg and need help leveraging up and down. I have another unit in a separate bathroom that is much safer and stable.

Incomplete

It’s not special. It’s functional and does the job. I am upset because it was supposed to include a free grab handle. Have not received my grab bar after a few weeks.

It was not safe for ny tiny, 80 lb. 92 yr old mother to use. It !s width was not adjustable, so it was way too wide, and it could not be secured to the floor - the suction cups did not work. . I found something more effective at a health equipment store. It would probably be more suitable for a large frame, heavy set person, since it seemed to rely on the person’s body to keep it from falling forward.

Good quality

Stand alone toilet railing is a good option for toilets where walls are not within reach. It is also portable and can be easily relocated to a different commode.
