Great pedestal. Height range is great for me. I was slightly concerned it might be too tall for me at the lowest point as my last one was slightly shorter and fit me just right. But this one fit great as well. I'm 5'10" for reference. Not wobbly and feels sturdy.

Best price I could find. I like the fact that my butt seat mounts directly to it- no thumb screw to come loose, so the lever stays out of the way until I need it. The base is NOT threaded, so don't order it if you want a threaded pole...

Excellent value - but measure your pedestal base

This pedestal works great! And the WalMart sale price is unbelieveable! I was surprised though (due to my own neglect) to realize that although the pin fits fine, the 1.77" shaft is much narrower than the 2.5" pedestal base on my boat. Therefore it will tip badly - and there are no after-market adapters I could find to fill the gap around it. Not sure if I can make one or if I'll have to return it. Too bad because this item works very well! I'll have to look for one that has a thick enough shaft.
