Design House 120-inch Extendable Pole

This pole is very sturdy, maximum weight is 30 lbs. This is for a closet, but my husband adapted it to use in my laundry room. Worked out perfectly. I tried to attach a video and picture, but it won't let me. I'm very happy.

It looked like a returned, poorly repacked product.

Good quality adjustable rod with nice chrome finish and easy installation. I ordered four rods and used them in 8-foot closets. The included slender chrome center bracket made for a sturdy, sag-free setup.

A poor choice

I expected a closet rod that will extend the full length and be strong enough to support a closet full of clothes. It is not. It requires a Center support to support even light loads. I would’ve returned it, but I had already trimmed one of the tabs slightly to fit against the wall. I will replace it sometime in the future.

I was looking for something to use outside to hang some outdoor curtains. I had to order 2 for the space I was trying to cover. They arrived and once I put them up and hung the curtains they looked great.

Sturdy. Couldn’t tell from the photos and description but there is a tab at a 90degree angle at the top…meaning this is designed to be supported by a top ledge. Luckily, we were able to manually flatten the tab so that it could be mounted anywhere against a flat surface.

Great Price & Served Its Need

I had this rod since we bought our house 10 years ago. We went through a hurricane and had to gut our entire house; however, this is something that we could have saved to use later had we had the space to save it. It was not rusted whatsoever. It held up really well and served its purpose. It could withstand all of our clothes and jeans that were too heavy for wire shelving units.

Overall okay, I had to open it to 63” to fit the closet and it was sagging in the middle with clothes on it. I propped a 2x3 under it which solved the sag. It could be made of thicker metal to hold loads better.

Honestly this was such a great deal! I also bought a closet L bracket for the middle to add a shelf and it totaled $12 for a shelf and extra hanging space! Very good purchase!

There are no instructions included, but it was easy to figure out. I love the middle support provided. I had mine installed in 10 minutes.
