I’ve always liked the rubber wood because it’s tough and durable. These book shelves work well and are easy to stain and assemble. I only wish they still sold the tall 6’ bookshelf.

Nice bookshelf, I did put a clear coat on it to give a little shine. Very well made.

I love this unfinished furniture this is like my 5th one. It's nice to make it the color you want and fun projects for kids to. I'm using this as a plant stand it works perfectly. The wood is strong and smooth so that stain goes on like butter. Then I put 2 layers of protection and perfectness!

Beautiful shelf, seams well made for the wood and design, i would recommend this..

just as pictured. pretty easy to put together. You do need some tools and light weight DRILL IS NICE FOR THE SCREWS, I used water based polyurethane to protect the wood. I put the finish on before I put them together. I like them. It is hard to find solid wood furniture.

The bookcase was missing a piece essential for assembly so...

The bookcase was missing a piece essential for assembly so I called the number provided in the instructions and they promptly sent the piece. One part of the instructions was a little backward but it came together well and looks great.

Went together easily enough. Finished with an oil based clear gloss poly with no problems. With a clear base it comes out nice and light, like a very loose grained maple.

I like the finished product, but it literally took hours...

I like the finished product, but it literally took hours to put together. There were screw holes missing and we had to buy a new drill bit to drill them. very difficult to line up holes and to get the screws in anyway. This product needs some serious quality assurance review.

The product arrived in a timely manner and was well packaged and undamaged when I received it. It will meet the need I had to store two shelves worth of Vinyl record albums. However, it is NOT 36 in. long. It is only 30 in. long across the top shelf. Further, the inside length of the shelves is only 26 in. This is significantly smaller than advertised! The unfinished bookcase is made from latex based wood and as a result does a poor job of absorbing oil based stains. It may be ok if you decide to paint it rather than stain it. Finally, while not difficult to assemble, it is not physically possible to assemble it by following the instructions. This will become obvious to you if you attempt follow the stepwise directions provided with the product.
