Beautiful Light!
I actually searched specifically for this light after viewing Erin Kestenbaum's blog about her kitchen. Her photo is used here on Build.com to show the brass color. Loved them in her space and love them in my kitchen! They add warm and focused workspace lighting. After installation, one light was dimmer than the other and I discovered that the switch on the side controls the brightness. I must have missed this feature in the description, but it's nice. The hinge allows for perfect light placement while adding depth to the design. And I love the solid brass which adds some shine to the kitchen as well.
The color says it's "aged brass" so I thought it would match my other Hudson Valley "aged brass" pendant fixture in my kitchen. It does not. They sconce is a bright brassy color and not brushed like my pendants. It's frustrating because now I have to return it and I'm hesitant to pick a sconce the "aged brass" color.
Love this fixture!
Love the fixture. Love this product ordered 2 for our master bedroom in aged brass. The only complaint is that the aged brass is shiny. I thought it would have a darker more antique finish.
Perfect, just like it's shown
These were just what we wanted for our bedside reading sconces. They seem a bit pricey for what they are made of, and the shipping took months(!) but once they got installed and up, I was very happy with them. My husband, who is very picky about his reading lights, really loves them too. They are beautiful and functional - the best of both worlds.
