Beautiful Pendant Light
This is a very beautiful Pendant light! I really like that it can be used at a short length for bedroom side table lights but it really shines as a long pendant in a tall ceiling area like a stairwell or great room. It looks stunning replacing our old boo b light in our master stairwell. I love the way the chrome lights up when the sunshine hits it in the morning. I am an electrical assembler, so it was so easy for me to install, but it seems like it would be easy enough for many people to do it with the will and a little help. If we had a bigger dining area I would love to have the bigger version as they are lovely.

I had the opportunity to evaluate this fine pendant lamp. Designed for a 9 foot or taller ceiling with a solid adjustable pendant arm that is suitable for vaulted ceilings. It is designed to withstand damp(not wet) area's. The finish is durable and a brushed effect grey(Platinum). Very well built and the cage is welded metal. The prisms give a pleasing lighting effect.

The Designers Fountain Linares mini pendant is an interesting color. "Aged Platinum" does look like the online image but I was thinking platinum would go well with stainless steel appliances and brushed nickel cabinet pulls. I've included a photo of the pendant next to stainless steel as a point of reference. The crystal prisms, 4 prisms per side, come packed separately. They attach to the fixture with little, fine metal hooks. Be careful to bend each hook down after attaching the prism or it will fall off. I found that out with the first prism I attached. Also, we are going to wear nitrile gloves when attaching the prisms to avoid fingerprints. Interestingly, the installation instructions are just a series of numbers and letters instead of step-by-step written instructions which could make it tougher for an inexperienced installer. If you have higher ceilings, you can use one or more of the enclosed rods. There are three 12-inch rods, one of which could split into two 6-inch rods. The square mounting plate is 5 inches wide and long. I haven't been able to determine the maximum bulb wattage for sure. The site currently lists 100 watts in the Details and 60 watts in the Designers Fountain description. When doing more research on other websites, it looks like 100 watts is correct. (The enclosed instruction sheet doesn't list max wattage.) This is the perfect fixture to provide lots of light, with patterns created by the prisms, over a kitchen sink or island. With 100 watts, this fixture could also give lots of light in a foyer. That's where we're installing it.
