Lamp does not look picture

The item does not look as pictured. The photo is of a lamp with a white marble like appearance. In actuality it’s painted to look like wood! It actually looks like the Swell water bottles that are painted to look like blonde wood which is not at all like how it is pictured here.

It’s even more gorgeous and looks way more $$ in real life. This was exactly the lamp I was looking for to put on my nightstands and it really transformed the room!

I still think LNY has the best on-line customer service I've experienced recently. I always try to purchase from them (all things being equal on other sites). Great design....good quality. The white shade is described as textured but as other reviewers have noted, with the light turned on, it is actually patterned with vertical stripes. It competes with the pattern on the base....like wearing a striped shirt with plaid paints. It's not noticeable without light but this lamp stays on all the time which is the point. I wish there was an option of a plain shade. It cheapens the look, in my opinion.
