Very nice and sturdy organizer
Great organizer! Drawers can easily be removed if needed but they will not accidentally fall out if you don't want them to! Drawer dividers attached at the back of unit so you can always have them there when you need them but out of the way.
Excellent item for all your jewelry making items. Compact and fits well in a small space. Love it!!

Great Useful Item.... some measurement issues
This is a really well made useful item. One thing to keep in mind the drawer measurements are not accurate. What I got it for fits perfectly, BUT there is a tab in the frame that makes it so I cannot put the drawers back in. The drawer height capacity is less than 1.5 inches, it is more like 1.3 to 1.25 inches of use height. I understand why the tabs are there, the drawer use capacity needs to be made clear.
Wrong Dimensions, Very few dividers
I bought this after hours of research and thinking this was the best product to hold me 6 inch long bead tubes. Since the description says that the drawers are quite long enough. Upon delivery, the box was very simple with no protection. I was surprised there wasn't damage. The drawers pop out far too easily for this type of storage so beware if keeping it on a counter/shelf where it could get knocked over. You'll have over 60 drawers of loose nuts and bolts scattered all over your workspace. The drawers were not 6 inches deep. They were 5.5 inches deep. Not long enough in the least to hold my art supplies and I don't want this to store loose hardware. So I started a return. It was picked up by FedEx 3 days ago but my return says they're still waiting on it to get picked up. I watched FedEx get it. So they definitely have it. But my return status says it'll take up to 3 weeks to get my refund. I know I'll eventually get my refund but wow, this has been such a disappointment and a huge hassle.
Very very poor quality
I could not believe for the price, how flimsy this was. I wanted an organizer for my tap and die sets, but there is no way this would hold the weight of those tools when mounted on the wall. Horrible flimsy construction of the cheapest disposable plastic. I am absolutely returning this product.
Versatile and durable organized economical storage
I use these to store hobby related parts and finished figures. The drawers are made of a softer more flexible plastic which will be more durable than the brittle clear plastic of some cabinets. The frame plastic seems less brittle too, so that is a plus as well. Plenty of drawers in the smaller size for those items that don't need a lot of space. Printing and applying labels is not a problem either; I use a handheld label maker to mark the contents of each drawer. Plenty of divider slots to sub-divide drawers; extra dividers are readily available to make further utility of the cabinet. Overall, this is a nice product that is well built and meets my needs.
They work but not a nice as the old ones.
It was disappointing to see how the quality of Akro-Mills has gone down over the years. My old drawer cabinets were metal with sharply defined drawers that fit perfectly. This newer set of drawers is much lower in quality . The sides of the drawers bend in and fit very loosely in the compartments. They work but are not nearly as nice as the old ones. The old drawers had grooves for dividing them sideways but the new ones only divide into top and bottom so you can't put long (i.e. axial resistors) and get two values per drawer. The material the drawers are made of is very soft. The old drawers were hard plastic, It was cheap so that is nice.
These are fantastic for organizing jewelry components!
I'm a jewelry maker, and I really wanted to FINALLY have at least my basic supplies in one, easy-to-manage setup, instead of 5000 weird and varied containers. Enter these chests of drawers! These are GREAT. The narrow drawers are DEEP, and are a perfect fit (width-wise) for industrial electronics component tubes, to corral smaller parts, but large enough to easily accomodate handfulls of "stuff" in each one. Also, these come with a bunch of drawer dividers on the backs- I haven't needed to use all of them, but they're really nice, when I change out my stock from chest to chest, or get new supplies in. EXCELLENT value, and a great fit in my workshop! I also purchased a couple of the smaller, 22-drawer units, but use this one specifically for my silver components.
Perfect for sorting and storing cake decorating colors
I am using this to sort and store my colors for cake decorating. I can finally easily find the color I need. I can finally easily find the color I need. I bought a LabelMaker to label the front of each drawer. I have them sorted by powders, gel colors, liquid gel colors and airbrush colors. What a relief not to have to scrounge through a big bin to find what I need! I have them sorted by powders, gel colors, liquid gel colors and airbrush colors. What a relief not to have to scrounge through a big bin to find what I need! It is not beautiful, fancy or colorful, but it is perfect for the job and much lower in cost than ones specifically designed for decorating.

Worked great for storage of my wife's bead jewelry and related items. I intended to screw these to shelf area I had in her hobby room and the holes in the back made it easy for me to do so. The amount and size of drawers were perfect for containing the small items. I also bought the 24-compartment version to store larger items and they both look great next to each other. The only thing I would have liked is for a better design to prevent the drawers from coming out so easily, but since it's mounted on the wall, my wife just knows to be careful when pulling them out.
Great Storage Bins!
Love these Akro-Mils storage drawers! Recently got back into building with Lego and these drawers are perfect for sorting pieces. Each drawer has a big enough face to add labels. There are dividers on the back of each cabinet that you can separate and use in the drawers. This comes in really handy for separating small pieces. Plus they were a fantastic value! Shipping was fast and free. Will definitely purchase again when my collection grows.
Akro-Mils 10164 Drawer Bin Cabinet( Pooerly Made For Having The Made-In-USA On iT!
Most anyone would think that an item being Made In USA would have actually had the aspects of what it means to the customers to be made in the USA. I purchased this because the price seemed very reasonable and because I'm tired of buying things from china, taiwan, hong kong etc that only ended up just looking good in their hyped-up pictures and descriptions seems how once we got the items many were obviously chintzy, already broken, and/or missing parts. This storage unit has several problems that should never have even had the opportunity to reach the customer like how it only came with 8 draw dividers and yes I know it said that in the descriptions but we don't often think that an American company is like the foreigners who love to sell things like printers at low cost but then just REALLY GOUGE you for the ink cartridges in order to attempt making up the difference... feel free to go price how much a 16-pack of Akro Mill's thin little dividers cost for this storage bin. They're item number is 40716 . Akro-Mils themselves wanted 12.95 and the lowest cost I found was between 8.00-10.00. So who only needs 8 of these??? There are 64 drawers and when you have a variety of nuts n bolts, you obviously need to divide up the drawers to keep one size/type from mixing in with the other, and so at the least I can get away with needing is approx 40, and so means you gotta buy at least 2 sets of 16 that equals another 16.00-20.00 plus sh-p-ing costs just for little plastic slides that are like 1.25" long x 2" x 1/64" think!! Now when it comes to the 8 dividers that came with it. These aren't already to go....what they did was molded these 8 dividers along with 4 large dividers (this model has no large drawers) in with the plastic body that makes up the back of the storage unit where by they show a picture of a pair scissors wanting you to cut out your own dividers. Aside from them pathetically making the customer do this, why give me 4 large dividers when this model has no large drawers in it! They could have easily turned the large dividers into small dividers and then I would at least have 8 more small dividers which only fit this set! When it comes to actual quality, they could have easily made the drawers a little more sturdy as well as designing a drawer and a divider that makes sense... I work on pinball machines, jukeboxes, and soda machines and so often using fasteners that are as small as 4-40 machine screws, washers, lock washers, etc etc and imagine a drawer they made that when you fill the drawer with washers in the front division and lock washers in the rear division, the sides of the drawer spread apart because they're flimsy and because they made the divider with only tangs to hold it that go half way up itself. Now when I pull out my drawer I get washers that went into the lock washers and lock washers in the washers.

Purchased this cabinet to put end mills and other cutters into the drawers, just the right size and drawer quantity, fit all of my needs. Ordered on line and picked up at my local Home Depot to be sure it was not damaged rather than ship to my residence and discover shipping damage.

Generally, I've been very happy with Akro-Mills stuff; well made, their products are fit for purpose. I bought this to house resistors of varying type and it's been perfect for that purpose. I used the pre-formed holes in the back to mount this to the wall--which I highly recommend.

This unit, and its 24-drawer counterpart, are typical of Akro-Mils quality. The plastics are more durable than many others that use more brittle materials. The frames have mounting holes at all 4 corners, not just at the top as some other brands. A few dividers are cast into the back of the frame, but need to be cut apart. Additional small-drawer dividers are available (Akro-Mils part #40716). Also, both the 64- and 24-drawer cabinets are the same overall size (length x width x depth), so banks of cabinets are easy to lay-out and look good when mounted.
Have already purchased additional organizers for screws.
Set two of these organizers side-by-side and then stacked two on top. The bottom trays hold nuts, smallest from far-left to biggest to far-right. Next row up holds flat washers, next row up holds lock-washers and the fourth row holds star washers. The fifth row and higher holds bolts that match the nuts and washers below them with the shortest on the fourth row and larger as you move up the stacked organizers.
I really like these storage cabinets!
I've been using these 64-bin AKRO-MILS cabinets for years now. When i need more, i always check Zoro first because they usually have the best pricing. I use them to store my small electronic parts, and after trying several different approaches, these cabinets seem to work out the best for me. I use them both stacked on shelves and wall-mounted. Both ways work very well. They are all plastic, both the bins and the frames. I remember the days when the frames were steel, and there's no question that those "felt" more durable and stable. However, i want to emphasize that i've *never* had any problems whatsoever with these plastic-framed cabinets. I will admit that i am very careful when i use any of my equipment, so maybe that's why i've had such good luck with these.
My favorite parts cabinets - good quality
These Akro Mills Parts Cabinets are excellent overall, especially compared to competitor products. These have consistent build quality, the drawers fit well and are consistent from one unit to the next, the cases are sturdy and don't distort with normal use. I particularly like that the drawer pulls are large enough to grab by big or small fingers, while leaving plenty of space for labeling. They also ship well so damage in shipping has never been an issue for me. My one complaint with the design, which is not unique to these units but "the way of the world" these days, is that drawer dividers are not provided as separate items as they once were - now they are molded into the back of the cabinet, have to be cut out and trimmed, they don't fit well in the drawers, don't look very nice, and there are very few. Not a huge deal, but a disappointment in an otherwise top-notch product.

The drawers are transparent for good part identification. 1/2" labels fit on the drawer handle. Having the drawers removable is good for working from them on a table top. The drawers stay in place at an angle to open load or take parts from. My only criticism is the drawer dividers did not remove from the housing cleanly and required trimming with a scissor to fit properly. Some were too high and would catch when opening and closing drawers prior to cutting. The cabinets are modular and stack well. There are indentions and feet that work like a tongue and groove. Very good product. If I were to improve the product, I would include covers that would contain the contents of the drawers when moving them and long term storage.
