During power outage the gate opener will forget all paired remotes and must be reprogrammed again. The circuit board doesn't have a battery. To prevent this the opener must be installed with battery backup power or solar kit.

It is a good slide gate opener and the installation simple if you have done this before. If this is the first gate opener you install then it might be complicated because the instruction manual is not clear at all. It assumes that you know what you are doing and there is no phone number for you to call with questions. There is one e-mail address but no one will ever reply. Once it is installed and working it's great.
