Low powered and cheap, flimsy plastic

It does not have enough power to use a garden hose nozzle or power a sprinkler. It is also made of all plastic and feels flimsy and easy to break. This is another one of Canadian Tire's cheap garbage products. We want quality and reliability!

Poor Quality

This product did not make my rain barrel pump any more water out of the hose than had I not purchased it. The PVC attached connecting the pump to the hose keep coming apart. I don’t recommend this product.

Low pressure sucks

The pressure is unbelievably low. We have 4 barrels and I’ve tried every possible way to make the water pressure better but can’t when the pump doesn’t have any power. Wife is still carrying watering jugs back and forth

Low pressure. Just a trickle

While this pump is better than having no pump attached to the hose, the volume of water it produces is fairly weak. I would compare it to the volume you'd get from a hose that is not attached to a spraying nozzle, and the water is not turned on completely. It's just not strong enough to be very useful. I won't return it because I already used it, but I'll be looking for a stronger pump to replace it with.

The pump works to water the flowers and rear lawn with rain water. Not fire hydrant pressure but adequate for the job

Was a gift with a rain barrel for MIL and she said it works just fine.

Does the job. Can draw water out of any rain barrel regardless of whether or not it has a spigot or not. However, it has to be able to fit through the top opening. One of my barrels it would not fit so I had to cut a wider opening. This is more a defect in the rain barrel than the pump as it's pretty small.

Poor performance

I bought this product with a view of using it to pump water from my rain barrel. For the first week, the product performed ok albeit with very little pressure. However, the product was functional. After a week of use, the product stopped working. I decided to return it to the store and to replace it with a product with better reviews.

Almost useless

This pump says in the instructions that it pumps 500 gallons per hour, or a little over 8 gallons per minute . I get less than a gallon per minute. In comparison if I let the water gravity feed through my hose I get over half a gallon per minute.

Very Low Flow

I got this pump to water my garden from my rain barrel.The pump was listed as providing 500 gph of water flow. I thought that would be too much and I was relieved to see it had an adjustment dial to control the flow. I hooked it up to my hose and spray nozzle and turned it on. and the water flowed... Barely. I estimate the water came out at about 40 to 50 gph, which is okay if I want to set it down and soak an area for a while, but I want to get the water all over the yard and that is just too slow a flow for that.

Works great as fountain, not so good for watering

We bought two pumps for our Madison rain barrels to use them with a hose (we used a 25 ft hose with a Gardena Multi Function Nozzle). The pressure the pumps provide is just sufficient but for sure not great. It works nice as a fountain, though. The pumps are easy to install and work very quietly.
