The midsize is perfect for shop use!!

Ok I like doing things that nobody else does sometimes! Not wanting the typical "ugly" galvanized metal electrical boxes, I decided to try to use cast aluminum "outdoor" boxes to make for a sleeker look and for the fact that they are already gray. I mounted Leviton commercial gray rocker switches and first used a standard size Leviton wall plate. That wall plate did not fit correctly onto the outdoor box so I searched and searched and found this one. It covered the outdoor box perfectly!

The cover is a perfect sized for its corresponding outlet. It’s thicker plastic and sturdy so I didn’t feel like it would snap if I were to tighten the screws too much. The bright white color also matches the color of the outlet.

After many attempts myself I could not get the electrical connected properly due to my house’s wiring. I was super excited though. I was gonna use it for an out door light. I instead had to get WiFi enabled bulbs. Definitely check your existing wiring for compatibility before trying.

Nice wall plate, it looks good and appears very durable. The installation is extremely easy just two small screws and you’ve replaced that dirty old wall plate with a new fresh and clean one. I would recommend it.

Lifesaver may be too bold an adjective, but it sure helped put greatly! We are remodeling our master bath. Part of the remodel was putting a new gfi outlet. In doing so, we inadvertently cut the new bead board too large for a standard plate cover. Thankfully we were able to get the square one midsized cover and the new gfi with a built in usb outlet. It covered our mess and helped with charging our iPhones at the same time. It saved me a lot of grief and functions perfectly.
