Great Security!

We installed this mailbox primarily because it was significantly more secure than our previous one. Our home is set back from the street a long ways from the mailbox, out of sight. The box is very sturdy, the keys cannot be duplicated easily, the installation instructions were clear. Overall, the mailbox fits our needs perfectly.

The Metro is heavy duty and sleek! We chose it because Mail Boss seems to make their boxes and keys with high quality materials. Our old mail box was flimsier and eventually the glue that held the top of the box on wore off and you could lift it off. We have had thieves steal the mail on our street recently prompting many of us to buy new boxes. Even though we’ve only had the Metro for a month, we expect it to last for many years based on the solid construction. It seems worth the higher price. The only small complaint is that the paint inside the box didn’t dry properly like you can see minor drip marks. This is surprising since the outside paint is perfect. Also, the box is so sleek, the opening where you place mail in is hard to see. Two neighbors checking out the new box had a hard time seeing the pull down door flap or maybe because they expected a door flap that you push versus pull; but we would still purchase this box again. We also installed it on an existing post. Because of our post size and orientation, we wanted a slimmer profile box and this could be installed on post or wall mounted. The versatility was another reason we chose the Metro!

Scratch & Dent on the Mailbox

The mailbox look good. But unfortunately the packing is weak and less protection, I've received the item with dent & scratch.... As the scratch & dent not that obvious and not on the front of the mailbox.... Therefore I've decide to keep it instead of asking for the refund even the good I received not perfect.

No screws came with the packet.

It is too heavy, returned black to the store.

wish I had bought this mail box sooner. Has room for mags and small packages. security is great with a locked box. no one can tamper with your mail.

It has been mounted for about a month and getting a lot of compliments from my neighbors as well as my mail lady.

Weighs a ton but easy to install. Locking mechanism seems much better than the mechanism on our previous mailbox.

MailBoss has a website

I ordered this mailbox directly from the Mailboss website on their 'scratch and dent clearance' section. It arrived with a tiny dent (but the price was half what you pay retail!). This mailbox is extremely sturdy; much sturdier than I was expecting. I was planning on hanging it on a chain link fence, but it is too heavy for that. My last mailbox (different brand, much flimsier) was crowbarred open but this one looks pretty indescructable. Highly recommend, great security.

Not white

Sturdy mailbox. It does not mount flush on a while which sort of bothered me. The part I'm most unhappy with is that it is NOT white as advertised. Now to match the trim on my house I'm going to have to have it painted.
