Buy a size up! It shrinks!

Originally bought the full/queen size for my queen size bed. I washed in cold water and dried on low, as instructed. It shrunk by 5-6 inches both in length and width. I had to return it because it looked so silly and small. My advice to is to buy the King size quilt for your queen size bed. It'll shrink up and be only a little bit too big. I fold it over at the top so the bottom corners don't touch the ground. (Note: you'll receive King size shams, which will be too big for standard pillows.)

SHRINKS! We have a a queen size bed, and the full/queen size was perfect until I washed it (cold water) and put it in the dryer (on low). We measured it and it’s at least 5 inches shorter each way… I’m so disappointed. Especially because I originally bought the King size, but it felt massive so I exchanged it. I guess I should have just washed it…. why didn’t the company preshrink their fabric?? I can’t exactly line dry a comforter… and the tag didn’t have car instructions (I looked)

Vibrant and sturdy

I love these! I've purchased three king sized quilts and use them on our queen beds, and they cover two adults well without dragging in the floor. They are practical and pretty. The colors stay vibrant, the make is good and sturdy, the weight is comfortable and manageable. Easy to fold up. Totally worth the money.

I love this reversible cotton quilt, it’s cool when I’m sleeping, launders just fine, my only issue is that I ordered a King sized and it doesn’t cover my bed completely. If I position it like the picture, one side is on top of my mattress. I consider this false advertising when you look at a picture, and think what you are buying will lay on your bed the same way. If you have a queen sized bed, buy the king sized quilt for a proper fit.

I ordered this quilt because I wanted light weight summer bedding to replace my heavy duvet. There were no problems with delivery and packaging. The quilt colors are exactly what I was looking for and the quilt looks lovely on my bed. The quilt is thinner than I expected and is more like a bedspread or coverlet. I have other light weight quilts that are more substantial than this one

Good Value

I love this quilt. It’s so pretty and lightweight yet warm. The only reason I give this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the description states the pillow shams are standard. They are not; they are European shams. I’ll make them work but it is not what I was hoping for or expecting. Also, I had to return the first quilt due to it having a yellow spot that appears to be from steaming/pressing. The replacement is perfect though!

5 stars because the quilt is very nicely made and very nice quality for the price, especially. I will say it's not the shade of blue I expected. But, that's on me for not really checking it out in better light! It's still beautiful. It's more of a muted blue with grey tints. But, it will work perfectly in my bedroom for the summer months. Light weight, yet thick enough for when the A/C is running wide open to keep the chill off.

This quilt is quite beautiful and the price is incomparable, but it’s far from perfect for me. I ordered a king to fit my queen bed and it’s still incredibly short. I was also expecting a more off white and beige combination, but it’s very white with a greige color - not quite beige and not quite sage. The picture is lovely. In my room it’s not, even with light from the adjacent patio door. Not quite sure if I’ll send it back due to the price. Maybe one of my daughters will want it for their full sized bed.

This is my second quilt. The previous one was purchased around 2019 and has held up very well. My three cats sleep on my bed all the time and have created little holes from their claws. I was impressed that it had survived for so many years. So if you have cats and they sleep on your bed, this is really worth purchasing. Also happy that it was made in Mexico and not China!

lovely quilt in blue...but

I just received my order of the blue Amberley quilt. It's very light-weight and well made. The blue is just the shade I wanted--a soft grayed blue. But the background is definitely not white. It's ivory. Laura Ashley's site describes it as "soft white."

This quilt is beautiful! It is very well made and fits my king size bed nicely. Both sides are long enough to lay just above my side slats so no mattress shows on either side. I love the quality and weight of this quit. Having said that, I am once again disappointed with the color. I had ordered a Christmas motif shower curtain for the holidays and the color was not at all like it showed in the picture. I will never use it. I decided to give Wayfair another chance and ordered the quilt thinking it was going to be beige/off white. When I opened it, the color was more light green than beige. Very disappointed with the color that is shown versus the color that you actually get. I probably will not order from Wayfair again, as this was the third time I've had color issues. I have spent a good amount of money there and I feel like I'm just throwing it away!

Loved it so much I bought it twice

I absolutely love this quilt. I love the pattern and I love the light weight (hubby doesn't like anything too heavy as he gets quite hot). In my experience it holds up quite well with frequent washes, although you can expect it to fade some which is to be expected. I had one for several years before it was ultimately ruined by my dog and cats. I just purchased it a second time and I'm so happy. And the price has come down since I last purchased it, which is a bonus.

After reading some reviews on fitting for king size I was concerned. Shams are very large but work. If you want width on both sides it may be a problem but one of my sides are not visible so can be pulled over on visible side. Length was fine. Color is perfect for what I wanted. Haven’t washed yet but so far love it!

It's pretty but not soft

I ended up loving the pattern way more than I thought I would, it's simple and beautiful. I've always used quilts and I think they need time to be broken and become less stiff. That being said, I hope that's all this one needs, is time. I'm a fan of buttery soft bedding and this is the complete opposite! It's much more stiff than any quilt I've had anf the material is a little scratch, but hopefully with time it'll get better.

Beautiful and excellent quality blanket

This quilt is truly beautiful and such good quality. It's cotton and the brand is mindful of reducing the packaging waste. The quilt is a perfect summer blanket with right thickness. The blanket is also very soft. And I fell in love with the color too. The biscuit color leans a bit towards green but I don't mind that at all. There is a different pattern on the other side of blanket. All in all, it's a great buy.

Just as pictured

This is my 2nd Laura Ashley quilt. It is a lightweight quilt and nicely made. One reviewer said the print is a slight sage green. I guess I can see that too ... but ever so "slight." And I mean slight. I bought a full/queen for a twin XL and will cut off one long side to fit. Not a problem for me. I bought the full/queen because I wanted it to cover the blankets and sheets and cover the back end of the bed. I am very pleased!!

Pretty, but messy

I really liked this bedspread once I got it on the bed. The contrasting colors of the reverse side and the decorative pillows was really pretty! However, when I went to wash it, that's when I had trouble. The thread used to quilt/sew this bedspread is plastic. When I took it out of the dryer the plastic thread had shrunk so the bedspread was gathered and lumpy all over, it wouldn't lay flat on the bed. I tried to pull it, to separate the gathering and the thread then broke. The bedspread shrank over two feet, yes, two feet, on the width alone, because of the thread shrinking. If you choose to purchase this bedspread, you will have to use the "air" selection on your dryer. For looks, I'd rate it a 5. For cleaning, I'd rate it a 1.

Love this set

I bought this set to put under another expensive quilt that I keep folded at the end of the bed. This understated quilt is the cover I use every night, and pull up the other pricey folded quilt only when needed. It's a lightweight quilt, which I like, and the feel and look is way more expensive looking than the price I paid. It fits, I have had no problem with shrinkage, it fits in my stackable machine, it washes very well, and it looks new after 2+ years. I'm tempted to buy it again just in case the one I bought ever wears out. Definitely worth the price.

Perfect! Much prettier than the photo which doesn’t capture the nuances of the floral design. I have Jacobean curtains in shades of rose, greens & gold. The neutral colors of the quilt with stylized floral design blend very well so it doesn’t at all look busy. The soft beige colors are warm and add elegance to my room. The sale price made this affordable so I could have some Laura Ashley in my life! I’m a very happy camper.

Laundering is a BREEZE!

Laundering a King size comforter set is a pain. I always had to fold it and roll it to get it to fit in the washer without turning into a wadded MESS. I was afraid to even use the thing, for fear of getting it dirty and having to deal with the drama. I am not about to pay 15% of the original purchase price to have it laundered at the cleaners. SO, I decided to switch to washable cotton quilts. I couldn't be happier with that decision. Laura Ashley was a name I was familiar with, and Overstock.com has very good prices. We received the quilts quickly (I also purchased a solid color), and they are perfect. Quality construction and machine washable. I have already washed both of the quilts several times and they look exactly the same as when they arrived, they just get softer after every wash. I love the fact that this quilt is reversible and can be accessorized differently to completely change the look. I can see myself becoming a quilt collector with these prices and quality. Buy one, you wont regret it!
