I love my barbecue. It's the perfect size and it was easy to install. It fit perfectly on the table that I chose for it and it came in a timely manner. I'm in the market now to find a cover for it but everything about it is just what I needed

Great little smoker/bbq

Bought this for the lake and has not disappointed! Well built and easy to use. With wildfire season cutting into campfire season this is a great answer as charcoal burning is allowed. Been using briquettes and chunk charcoal with smoker wood chunks for flavour! If you want great bbq without taking up much space a great addition to the lake!

Small but MIGHTY

The grill might be small but it is mighty. Works amazing for any thing have done burgers dogs smoked a whole ham. If your looking for a small grill this one is worth the money

Perfect size for two people and very easy to put together

It is a good size. It does have some issues concerning how well it is put together. I haven’t gotten to use it yet. The company is sending new parts to replace the broken parts (not welded very good, parts came apart) the service people were great in taking care of this. Looking forward in using this.

You will not be disappointed if you purchase this grill. Trust me! It's built very well. One thing I do with all of my charcoal grills is, place the charcoal briquettes (Kingsford) into a plastic bag and spray Kingsford charcoal starter onto them then tie the bag up so the fluid will soak into them. I do this about an hour before I grill and ad a little more fluid about 20 minutes before I grill and tie the bag back up, then when you get ready to grill, all you need is a match to light the charcoal and allow them to ash all over before spreading them out for grilling. I do this to save my firebox, or ash box from getting a hole burned in them from constant spraying charcoal fluid onto the charcoal and the bottom of the grill. I've had a couple of my grills for over 18 yrs using this method. I got the idea from using Matchlight charcoals a couple of times, only the Matchlight causes your food to taste like lighter fluid. With all of this being said, I would not hesitate to buy this grill. I added a 1 1/2" thermometer to mine and it works fantastic. With Fathers Day approaching, or just summer weekend grilling allow this grill to be your grill of choice!

Very Impressed

Just purchased in May 2020, The Char Broil side fire box has more than exceeded my expectations. Its well made and very sturdy due to this model having frame like legs supported by nice cross braces. The legs incorporate plastic feet to enable better contact and stability for the entire smoker. Weighing in at 32 lbs, its heavy enough to sit on any surface and portable enough for mobility. Assembly was seamless - everything fit together well and the provided hardware was clearly labeled. This model also has the larger handles and when in use, I didn't find a problem with heat transfer to bare hands. Especially like the slide out ash pan as its very convenient for loading charcoals and makes clean up a breeze. Care will have to taken with the cast iron cooking grades to ensure that they will not rust - proper cleaning and seasoning with vegetable oil has to be regular routine. The side vents work well - it will take some time to figure out the best settings for temperature control and heat management. I added a nice temp gauge to my smoker and it has taken all guess work of the units internal temperature. I took extra time to rub vegetable oil on all interior surfaces and did 2 burns prior to its first cook. Have used the smoker several times and can say that I am 100% satisfied with Char Broil as this is a wonderful product. Thanks for reading.

I did some research on pellets or charcoal. I had a hard time justifying big dollars on pellets so i figured id go cheap with a charcoal system. I didnt wanna spend a lot of money on it just incase things didnt work out. Big plus for me, I can bring it anywhere, house, trailer or camp. Setup is very basic instructions. Didnt have to fight with any of it. Keep in mind u need to brush the entire inside with vegetable oil and make a small fire and let burn for 2 hrs prior to cooking with it. The next day i thru some paper in the bottom pan and ontop of the grill then loaded the charcoal to it and lit it. No lighter fluid. Moved some hot rocks around and then added a full layer of charcoal waited about 20-30 mins and she was well ready. Its comes very hot at the start and u probably shouldn't add food and go lay on the couch. Keep an eye on it. U dont want the juice cooked right out of ur food. We had steak and chicken. Slight smoke when u first tasted it, but really mild. Medium rare steak full of juice with only Montreal steak spice, cant remember it ever tasting that good!! If ur in the market for a charcoal rig, this is small compact, very well built, not flimsy, bit heavy actually, low cost, very impressive, and you wont be disappointed.

I haven't had any problems grilling my pork chops, chicken, shrimp, ect. I like the cast iron ooking Grate. The unit is easy to clean and transport. But, the heat escape both of the charcoal and cooking chambers because these doors don't "close tight" So if you cook some "serious meal" where keeping the temp at a certain number for a period of time is a most, then you should consider other grills, if not, this one is OK. This one works for me because I don't use thermometers for cooking. I know the experts say I should.

Perfect size for two or three people.

We use the grill when we just have to have a good steak and there is only three of us. It will be a good addition to my larger grill to add an outside firebox/smoker. I modified the rails inside to make sure that the door on the firebox closed a bit tighter. (keep the smoke in and allow the chef to better regulate the heat. I added a small thermometer in the side of the grill to allow an accurate measurement of heat at the meat.
