In June 2016 I installed a new hot & cold water assembly. The cold water side worked ok but the hot water side leaked. I took it back and was able to find an older package for the hot side and that worked fine until December 2016. The water started leaking again and when I took it apart turns out the black soft rubber was falling apart. I bought another hot water assembly and when I installed it, you guessed it, it leaked too! Even know the parts looked exactly alike, something is different. I added a very small spacer under the valve seat and that solved the issue. Maybe American Standard will look into this and solve the problem. I would be glad to test/try out any refits that American Standard may come up with.
