This replacement works perfectly. It wasn't difficult to install, with videos from YouTube. The only downside was delivery (packaging). I ordered this and the valve cartridge to replace at the same time. They arrived separately, and one was in a box that was (way) too large for it - and contained no cushioning material. Prior to opening it, I was sure that it had been damaged.

The cartridge was what we needed to fix our shower faucet.

Just what the faucet ordered!

Our years and years old American Standard Tub/Shower faucet combo stopped holding consistent water either hot or freezing with little or no movement per the wife. Got this volume control cartridge AND since you are going in this deep, might as well replace the Pressure Balancing Unit just a few more screws and remove with needle nose pliars. Just pay attention to which way your water supply holes are oriented.

[Rewarded Review] Poor product quality

I have replaced this item twice in the last six months because it leaks. The original item lasted more than ten years. Therefore I don’t understand why the replacement can’t last more than six months. I believe it is very poor workmanship and the product is not of the same quality as the original.
