Tanks busted on Arrival

Don’t try to buy toilet tanks online if they ship by freight. They will always come in busted. Both of these were broken on receipt. We did get a full refund though but they were the last two tanks in stock and more were 10 weeks out ;(

While being smaller than I expected, the tank does the job just fine. The holes lined up beautifully and the seals are tight. This was my first time replacing a tank instead of a whole toilet, but the instructions were clear and the components are well made.

We needed the right side toilet handle for an ADA youth bathroom. I was surprised to see how easy it was to exchange a right handle tank for a left handed one. Very pleased.

It's generally ok, but nothing special, and in fact we were rather disappointed. Don't believe the video with all of the things getting flushed down the toilet. Mine clogged 3 days after I got it installed, and there was only a minimal amount of paper in it, and I found it more difficult to remedy with a plunger than I did the old toilet...which is ridiculous given the amount of material that was there.

The tank that was sent was a little different. The holes that the bolts go through were off by a quarter of an inch, had to seal the entire area to stop the leaking of water. The tank also protrudes forward, the toilet lid stays up but the seat has to be held up. I would not recommended this tank as the replacement for the old one.

The first one that arrived had a broken bowl cover. I called HD and they sent a new tank with a new cover. We haven't installed the toilet yet as it was ordered for a bathroom project that hasn't started yet but the toilet should meet our expectations. I bought this toilet entirely because of the video that American Standard has on their website showing how many hot dogs, cell phones, golf balls etc will flush down the toilet. It's really hilarious but sold me! Home depot's customer service blew me away!

The handle takes some holding down if you want a full flush. My biggest issue is that the holes that are drilling in the bowl for the toilet seat (does not come with a seat) are not centered. I have tried 2 toilet seats and they both sit misaligned to the bowl in the same way -Visually annoying.

I feel it ( 1.6 GPF ) is better...

I feel it ( 1.6 GPF ) is better than the eco-friendly low water 1.28 GPF toilets out there, that just seem to not have enough water to push ( #2's) down the toilet. I'm very happy with this product/ toilet, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice 1.6 GPF vs a 1.28 GPF. It is a quiet flush compared to my old toilet.
