This is not lush-mount device for an octagonal box
This requires installation in a pre-existing can fixture. The under side has a bowl shape that won't allow installation in a typical ceiling box.

Easy to install if you have some background on electrical diagrams. Lights up the outdoor fine, cost a little bit more, but worth it. Will post photo later.

Very well made and compact. But LEDs are NOT replaceable! Removing plastic lens is very tricky; there’s three clips molded into the lens 120 degrees apart. Avoid pressing on them while trying to rotate lens. Since you can’t see them you have to guess. So apply pressure 120 degrees apart not the more natural 180. If it won’t turn try again in different place.
