The rug arrived securely rolled up and wrapped in two layers of thick plastic. As soon as the plastic was cut, a strong, awful smell came from the rug. It was sickening. Once opened, the rug was found to be damp! The good part of the experience was the prompt delivery and Wayfair’s excellent customer service in response to our report of the problem.

I love this rug. The edges are not a solid color; the green varies (like the "inside" but I love it anyway. It's beautiful and thick. I love the pops of red.

This is a beautiful, durable rug. I bought it five years ago, and it is as nice today as the day I received it. I dread the day it needs to be replaced, since I imagine I won't be able to find one like it again.

Beautiful, high quality area rug

This is a great, high quality area rug, thick and extremely well made. I'm glad it was on sale otherwise I would not have purchased it for the original price. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not a full 5, is because the manufacturer gives explicit instructions on the outside of the plastic wrap to not cut it down the middle to remove the rug. The reasoning is that the packaging must be in its original condition if the rug is to be returned. First off, getting it out of the plastic wrapping and shipping tube was nearly impossible and a gigantic feat, never mind having to roll it up by hand tight enough to get it back in the tube. I'm sure it was rolled tight and slipped into the tubing by a machine. I'm glad we liked the color because it was not going back!

It sheds a lot. Constantly vacuuming the material.

Pretty, but the quality.....

I love how the rug looks, but it is constantly shedding and every time I vacuum, so much comes up. I'm worried it will be thread bear in no time.

I opened just an outer shell, which was BTW filthy, and the rug was all wet inside with strong mold smell.

This is a beautiful well-made rug. We shopped at several stores in town and found this to be a much better purchase in both price and quality. You will be well pleased in getting a high-quality wool rug instead of the polyester. The colors are true to picture overall other than the ivory is slightly more yellow than cream. Some of that obviously depends on your lighting in the room. It is thick and well-made with a nice cotton backing and binding.

I actually bought three of these rugs and they are all elegant with beautiful colors and original designs. I can’t decide which I love the most. They all are wonderful buys, inexpensive and well-made. I bought three 3 x 5 rugs and they are perfect. I recommend them highly. You will be very very happy.

Exceeds Expectations

This is the third Safavieh which I have purchased from Overstock. This one was selected as a foyer area rug and to complement the others used in another room. The colors are lovely. The quality exceeds my expectations (since I had always purchased Karastan area rugs). I have not experienced shedding issues and would definitely recommend to others.
