Worked great for our bathroom remodel!
Product was damaged on the first one. They don’t notify you, just process your return and don’t tell you. The second one we ordered was fine but sat in a warehouse for almost a week before they actually delivered it. We called and asked if we could come get it and were told NO!!!
Just what we ordered. Looks great.
This Archer product line is great quality. Heavy, sturdy and well built. 2nd one I've installed for customers and won't be the last. The price is worth the quality you get. Highly recommended
Law suit waiting to happen!
The Archer cover does NOT fit solidly in place. If you step on a corner, the opposite corner tips up creating a very dangerous situation. You constantly need to be aware of where you are standing in your shower so you don’t trip!! When I called Customer Service they sent me a new cover stating they knew there was a problem and had redesigned the cover - BUT the new, improves cover is exactly the same!
I would like to return it. It is too big for my bathroom. Can you help me with a pick up?
Absolutely the worst!!
Our builder put this in our home in late 2020, it's in our Master and even though it looks pretty it is a filling Nightmare. My husband slipped once and told me to never get in it again until we can replace it.
terrible
Our builder installed this base in our new home. The insert over the drain does not stay in place and we try to be careful not to step on in. Well, the other night, I stepped on the cover, the cover flew off and I flew out of the shower and onto the floor. Luck nothing broke, me or the shower door. But I am very bruised. This product should not be on the market any more, based on my accident and other reviews I have read!!
Nice looking but not for DIY
Used now 3 months. Recommend against DYI - BECAUSE Kohler will not honor the warranty if it is not installed by a professional contractor. Unfortunately, that is not disclosed well and we installed it ourselves precisely as the directions indicated. The fiberglass shell of the base is built up on a series of plywood pieces joined together somehow and in our case one or more of these sections, loosened so as to emit a squeaky floor sound when weight is placed on that part of the shower pan.
Don’t buy this
This is the worst shower pan. The drain clogs easily and the cover is very hard to clean. The material is not very strong. I’m going to have to replace it which means ripping out my tail. My plumber recommended this and he was wrong.
Poor design
Drain cover feels unstable and flips when stepped on. Was sent a relacement and is not any better. Poor design. Love my new shower but am very disappointed with this base.
Terrible design for shower bade
Bought this about 1 year ago for master bathroom remodel. Drain cover is loose and comes off if you step in it which is difficult not to do since it’s in the middle of the shower floor. Would replace if I could afford to do so but have expensive tile surrounding it. Bought mostly Koehler products over last 35 years but this is a terrible purchase and design!
This was exactly what I expected! It gave such a clean finished look to my updated shower. I LOVE that the drain is covered, it makes it much nicer to look at!
Center drain cover creates hazard
Only 2 of the 4 adhesive feet under the center drain work properly, there other 2 aren't staying stuck which creates a tippy unstable surface right in the center of the shower where we stand! I can throw a tub mat over it, but my husband hates that idea and besides...it shouldn't be necessary to create a work-around for a new shower pan that doesn't function properly! So disappointed in this drain's design and operation I can't even tell you. Plus, now that it's installed there isn't exactly an easy fix that I can see. Would love to talk to someone at the company about this situation and see what they recommend.
Good solid base. Water drains perfectly.
Terrible design
I really liked the look of this making the drain area more pleasing. But five years later and I'm replacing the shower pan again. Drain cover discolored, suction cups holding cover broke off after year1. Very disappointed for the money.
Enhancements are not working
We had this installed by our contractor as part of our bathroom remodel. We didn't really know what we were getting until it was installed and were surprised by the design. Once we started using it we had all the problems mentioned here. Wish I'd known enough to check this out and read the reviews. At any rate, the solution that's working for us is to put a suction mat over the drain. The one we're using is the Gorilla Grip bath mat. The drain cover still rocks a bit under the mat if we step on it the wrong way, but it's a lot steadier and safer than it was.
Have not used it yet
Our builder installed this basin in our new home. This was not the basin we selected but I willing to give it a try. But first I want to confirm if this flipping cover problem has really been solved... and how. What I did notice is that there are no suction cups as others described. What I see is four 3M tape squares. So are you telling me the "fix" is to permanently bond the cover to the base? How are we supposed to clean under the cover? It's a hair trap! Thanks.
Dangerous drain cover
Installed about 5 months ago and loved the look especially the drain cover. Upon usage I completely regret purchasing this unit. If you do not step on the drain cover perfectly in the middle, you will slip. I do not want to have to concentrate where I am stepping in my own shower! Last night I stepped on it wrong, slipping and falling and hitting tailbone. I m a healthy 40 year old athlete, cannot imagine if I had a compromised or fragile body. I could've gotten seriously injured. I will be removing the cover from now on but not looking forward to hole this will leaving over the drain. Kohler needs to get this figured out.
Very poor design
This shower base was installed in our condo. We find the removable drain cover very unsafe. This needs to be addressed by Kohler. DO NOT BUY THIS SHOWER BASE
