Wish we picked something else

They need to go back to the drawing board on this shower pan. I'm currently on my second drain cover and am considering buying a third in case this one breaks. The cover currently sells for $86 on the Kohler website. The cover also gets nasty underneath from use. I wish we stuck with a typical drain pan which would have been less hassle. Oh well I'm not tearing up the whole shower again so I guess we're stuck with it.

This shower pan provides a very modern style to my remodeled bathroom.

I had my master bath remodeled by a professional who installed this shower pan. It looks great initially but I was shocked to see it cracked just after two months of normal use.

Stylish Shower Pan

I was looking for an attractive well made shower pan. This one does not disappoint. Very clean lines, unique drain cover. Overall very pleased with my choice.

Missing one feet - drain cover shifts under feet

I installed the Archer shower base with a drain cover. One of the four feet on the drain cover is missing. The base cover rocks and moves when you step on it. The double sided tape adhering the four feet is also no good. This is a big problem.

Very dangerous

This shower pan is very slippery. We had to add some grip strips to keep from falling down.

Not Kohler Quality

We purchased this product and had it installed in July 2018. Two things people should know before considering this as a purchase.

center drain cover cracks

AFter a short time of use the center drain cover cracked and the suction cups that hold it in place fell out. Not good for a kohler product.

Very solid. Great customer service. A little confusing on what to use for leveling. Hooking up a drain pipe requires access from floor below. So if you have a second floor project, you will need to cut a hole in your ceiling.

[Rewarded Review] Measurements Not Precise

All the specifics state dimensions of 36x36 in or 914x914 mm (just under 36 inches). However the unit I received was 36 3/16 inches wide in the back and 36 1/8 inches wide in the front. Only the depth was accurate. Since I was trying to use this in a remodel with and existing alcove of 36x36 inches it would not fit. The quality control for the dimensions is severely lacking.

I bought this in Nov 2017, due to the contractor"s issue only to have it installed while remolded the bath room two weeks ago, noticed immediately that the center cover's color's different than the pan itself, it supposed to be white, but it appeared to be light grey, I don"t know the color changed over time or it was a mistake while been packed. because it over one year warranty period, I guess I have to live with it. buyer be aware to check it right after purchased the item. other than this it functioned nicely. I also bought a Kohler Bancroft bath tub for my hall bath with a Clearflo brass drain, I like its very much.
