Great, fast service

I found these floor registers here at Zoro for $5 less each than a large online seller that shall remain nameless. At first I had trouble with the website, but when I phoned, the person helped me quickly and patiently, and I was successful. But when the box arrived two days later, exactly correct and complete, I was stunned. Fast service, free shipping, and almost 20% less that they other guys? Wonderful. I've recommended Zoro to several people.

Looks great, but fragile. Stepping on register cracked plastic support, which leads to unappealing shallow V-shape appearance. Once cracked, the register does not lie flat, leaving gaps on left and right, which doesn't look great (although it still functions). We don't try to step on the register, but it can be inevitable if you have a register near a walk way or by a window. I can avoid them, but my children and guests seem compelled to step on them (accidentally). It would be great if the plastic was more robust. I love how these look.

I bought it to replace the 4 x 12 in. wall vent in our newly remodeled bathroom. It matched the style and our new brushed nickel fixtures. Houses built in the 50's all have 4 x 12 in. wall vents, which you can't find anymore. This vent fit the opening, and for a floor vent it had a great sliding adjustment for air-flow. All I had to do is drill a hole on each side to secure it with 2 screws to the wall!

We already purchased grates exactly like these from Home Depot about 5 years ago, but missed a few in inconspicuous registers, so replaced them now with house on the market and furniture "thinned." They have held up very well, and are still beautiful. I'm happy they are still available. Thank you.

This is a very attractive floor register, but after opening it I noticed that the vent openings are quite different from traditional vents. They are very easy to operate with a sliding portion of a waffle hole like base either sliding out from the permanent base (open) to sliding back in over the permanent base (closed). Unfortunately this arrangement which initially seemed like a good idea, had the effect of cutting down the volume of the air that passed through the register by an amount of 25% or so by my estimate. The base part that is not movable stays in place and there is less room fro airflow through this design

Brushed Nickle Floor Grates

New flooring- wahoo!! My white grates looked incongruous with my new beautiful invincible flooring. Home Depot was the perfect place to pick out new vent grates to match the beautiful new flooring. Out with the bright white in with the brushed nickle vent grates. I ordered vent grates on line at Home Depot to match my new bathroom tile too! The new duct grates look stylish.

We had the old style floor vents, y'know, the louvered brown things... but since we remodeled the area near the sliding glass door, we replaced them with these. They are very stylish and, believe it or not, make a different sound than the louvered ones, kind of like a 'whoosh' instead of a 'gust' of air. Anyway, we really like the look and, now, the sound! Plus, they're a heck of a lot easier to keep clean!
