I brought this cast iron pot cause I needed it to cook a ham in something bigger than what I had in my kitchen.

Four stars as it easily chips, but cooks great!

I had purchased a real expensive brand enamelled cast iron pan to cook a special Tika Masala dish i love to make but was disappointed to find my dish would stick terribly to it. I wish I would have bought this Crock Pot dutch oven instead, because I made the same dish tonight to see how this would do, and am shocked to see its super clean after scooping the contents out with a rubber spatula . I fried chicken with skin on in the bottom before adding the other tomato- ey ingredients so am very impressed. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was due to me putting this away the night before in it's new home, and finding a chip out of the handle when I took it out today. It had tapped against another cast iron pot behind it, but I didn't think I'd pushed it in hard at all, so it seems to be easily chipped which is a bit worrisome. I must add though that I have the 5qt Crock Pot dutch oven as well. and the no need bread i made in it is the best bread Ive ever eaten! Way different than a loaf pan because it stays moist and fluffy and just delicious.
