The perfect white plates

I wanted to update our every day dinner plates to plain white ones and needed a lot of them. We frequently host extended family and kids. When the kids clear the table, it’s been easy to chip some of our good dishes. These white plates are amazing since there’s been no single ship or scape since using them daily. They are easy to handle and load in the dishwasher. They can be used with any excising dishes and blend in. * cost effective * the price is right * very chip resistent * easy to handle

We love these plates. Holding up well and can be put in dishwasher. I don’t see a way you can go wrong with these plates.

One can't go wrong with Aspen Rimmed.

We usually use the Aspen salad plates, but sometimes a poison just wants a larger plate , and these are perfect. We like the look and the utility of the wide rims as well as the classic beauty of plain white china. On a practical note, I will include a comment from my elderly mother-in-law: "I love these plates, because I can carry more than one at a time!"

Best dishes ever!

Excellent plates for every day dining as well as fine dining. They still look beautiful after years of use for my son, so I purchased more for my other son’s air B&B and own kitchen. The white looks fantastic with any setting!

Aspen Dinner Plate

I have had a set of the Aspen plates I use for buffet plates when I entertain. They have maintained a bright, clear finish and can be dressed up or down, suitable for any occasion.

Beautiful simple style but disappointing quality

I have owned the Maison dinnerware set, (which is also white rimmed porcelain) and have enjoyed the whole set for many years. It's simple, elegant and high quality being made in Japan. After much use, the glaze and wear is very evident. I needed to replace just the dinner & salad plates but was told that Maison was discontinued a year ago. I purchased a single Aspen dinner plate & salad to compare since it's very close. Unfortunately, the size for both dishes is smaller but the most surprising and disappointing quality flaw is seeing small white dots and light scratches in the glaze! Even NYT Wirecutter noted this flaw in their review of this dinnerware. I can't believe Crate & Barrel allowed this to pass their high standards. I've been a loyal customer forever, but I can't purchase this dinnerware and need to seek out a better quality porcelain replacement.
