This lamp was a nightmare to try to put together and we ended up needing to get a replacement unit due to some faulty screws. The replacement unit arrived with a noticeable scratch to the marble base. But since it was a replacement unit, I had to jump through several hoops for all modern to refund me and not charge for return shipping. Learn from my mistakes and do not buy unless you are mentally prepared for a frustrating assembly and have a helper.

Requires a dimmable bulb

The online description says it isn't dimmable, but this lamp uses dimmable bulbs only. I specifically bought it because I was looking for a lamp with non-dimmable bulbs.

I like the marble base. I feel for the weight of the lamp it should reach out more. A less expensive lamp with less weight which I bought through this site also I find more pleasing with less bulky connections.

The lamp looks great on Wayfair. But, when arrived, it was difficult to fit together, and the shade connection was bad to say the least. It wouldnt stay connected to the arched support with provided screws. Super glued with fingers crossed. Get your act together AllModern. After spending the afternoon, trying to fit pieces, the last thing I wanna do is try to box it all back up and send it out and wait again. I give you one star for style, and one for the marble base.

Will break, can't be fixed, company won't replace.

The switch broke off after a few years, which happens I guess. My major concern is that when this happened, I emailed the company (Adesso) that makes the lamp. Their reps said that 1) the lamp is unfixable and 2) they wouldn't provide a new one. Really not worth it to me to spend $250 on something that is unfixable and unreplaceable since it was more than a year old.

For the first year this was a 5 star lamp, but then it just started glitching and now I never know what will happen when I turn it on. Maybe it will work, maybe it will flicker, or maybe nothing. So it’s basically decorative at this point.

Love this lamp! Set up was a bit difficult, but once I got the arch figured out it was a breeze. I was hoping for a dimmable switch, but this only comes with two settings. Nonetheless, I like the look.

Just what I was looking for. I put it together myself. It was a little awkward because I am a small person and the lamp was long, but other than that everything was great. I love the way I can tilt the lamp in different directions and that it’s dimmable!

It is a nice floor lamp. I took off a star as the light switch is somewhat flimsy. I find it annoying to use to turn the lamp off and on. It is not a smooth working switch. Needs some re-designing. at the price that the lamp cost. Should be much better.

It is very beautiful but is also supposed to be a dimmable lamp ...specifically ordered dimmable bulbs for it. However it does not dim and for what it cost I am VERY DISAPPOINTED. I would love to send it back but I had already recycled the box as I did not expect it to be defective and had to wait to purchase the bulb since the lamp did not come with one to test it out.

Nice lamp, working good so far. I was able to assemble it alone.

This is simply impossible to assemble. I have been furnishing my new home for almost two years, and I have never in my life been so frustrated by any kind of assembly. You need the fingers of an elf to find the screw hole on the shade (actually, there are two of them, but the instructions only mention one, so do they both need tightened? Nobody knows), and attempting to tighten that screw will make you reconsider every decision you have ever made, since the provided wrench doesn't even fit in the tiny space you have to do this. I cannot put the arched poles together straight, and of course there are no guides in place to help with that. The "instructions" claim there is a tutorial video, but good luck finding that. I have not been able to find any kind of help anywhere on the internet. Unbelievably difficult.

Excellent packaging! No damage, flawless, study base. Easy assembly. Easier with 2 people. Start at the shade and work down is the best. Love the castling light from the shade on the ceiling. Has 2 settings. Just love it! Beautiful piece!
