Complete garbage.

The wiring will cook itself and the company has no customer service to speak of. This was my second unit and I was able to keep it operating by scavenging parts from the last one. Unfortunately It seems almost every brand is using the same base unit from the pictures I find of the internal components. Quality products just don't seem to exist anymore.

Second one we have gotten in less than 3yrs!!!! Very frustrating.

Not Worth It - Junk

It takes up six spots in breaker box for three 40 amp breakers and the eight gauge wire needed so it is a decent investment. My issue is the unit is dead just 2.5 years after installing it. By the way, it has a 2 year warranty on parts. My recommendation is to purchase a gas water heater next time and not one made by Atmor.

This is the 2nd time I have bought this brand and both times it broke right after the 2 yr warranty was up. I had to pay for an electrician to come, assuming that was the problem but it was the tankless water heater, it constantly trips off

DOA

I spent quite a bit to have this installed. It requires 3x40amp breakers on 8 guage wire which is not cheap these days. The house got an upgraded panel to support the power demand. All in all, the system was plumbed and the air was purged (your system will need to have a supervent above the unit for bleeding air as any bubbles can cause the system to fail). All of these steps are necessary before you even flip the breakers to power this thing. All done, power on and.... the front panel doesn't light up. Turn the dial clockwise, and ... nothing. The troubleshooting guide says that a full reset might be necessary. So, we turn off the breakers, open the box, press three random buttons that do nothing, put it back together, flip the breakers and.... nothing. Run water at the tap with a 4gpm open tap, and.... nothing. I am the professional here, so calling a professional isn't the answer. Customer service just reads the troubleshooting guide to me. The control panel connections are hidden behind a service panel. Everything looks good underneath it, no broken connections or bad solder points. The control panel is DOA. THERE IS NO WAY TO GET REPLACEMENT PARTS FROM THIS COMPANY. GET A DIFFERENT BRAND.

Very difficult to reset. In fact, the reset procedure is very poorly designed and just too difficult for most people.
