disappointment

Low on power. I'm disappointed because I thought it would work in my small 1 goose pond. Used once and stopped working.

Won't pump up to a higher level

I needed to pump standing water (about two inches deep) off my flooded basement floor into a laundry tub drain. The description for this pump said that it would pump vertically up to forty inches. It won't - not even close. I am returning the pump. This might be a good portable pump for some problems, but not if you have to pump higher than twenty inches.

Love these little Pumps

I have four and I replaced switches in two of the used ones and found compatible switches easily enough. If the O ring is good they can be difficult to open to replace batteries .. I have found placing the pump handle loosely in a vise allows me to use both hands to turn the body. I do not have to tighten the vise. I noticed a few complaints that they couldn't open the lid .. they are missing out on a fantastic pump.

Terrific Battery-Operated Water Pump

I bought this pump to drain approximately 4-5" of standing water in my flooded backyard (the result of a torrential rainstorm). It took 3 sets of D-batteries to finish the job. I covered the pump in a mesh bag to control for debris (mulch shards) bunging up the pump and stressing the motor. I returned an electric pump that I also purchased to deal with the problem (I was in a panic, spent a fortune last year landscaping the back yard) as a result of this pump working so well.

Fantastic pumps

These pumps work well for open boats: sailboats, paddle boats after heavy rain. Had them for many years before they konked out, so ordered brand new ones … fantastic!
