Hello, the reason i rated it so low is because the very first day I used it, it droops down. Its not tight and water puddles in the middle. I would like someone to fix it or replace it if possible. This happened on the very first use.

Seems to be well made. Took 25 days to receive it after ordering. Ordered different brackets from Awntech that are for under the soffit. They came through within a week. Installed it ourselves. I don't think it will withstand 30mph wind, so it's retracted on windy days. Looks great so far!

Required a replacement

The first one was defective. The motor stopped working within a few minutes of use, and there was considerable sagging on one side, as one arm wasn't attached in the same position as the other. This was determined once it was installed 12 feet above the patio. Had to pay for install and removal. Home Depot agreed to replace at a discounted rate but the replacement was an obvious store return. So, I received a used item as a replacement and had to pay once again to have it installed.

I like the awning it was a reasonable installation. I would suggest that additional brackets are offer at purchase. In my case it was difficult to find the studs to secure the brackets too. I had to order two more brackets, and take the awning down in order to secure it properly. Other than that it has met my expectations thus far.

The awning was great. Unfortunately my rooftop was unable to accommodate it due to uneven/not enough studs. But it was beautiful.

When I ordered it I asked the sales person if his was the right number for the red and white striped awning and he said it was but when it came it's tan in color. WRONG COLOR. Installed it before I found out it was the wrong color. Will not order anything from you again if I can help it.

The awning was a little smaller than I expected. I do wish it had side covers to hide the motorization.

Arrived with a hole in the fabric

Works great but I wish I had opened the awning to install it sooner. There were 2 holes 1/2 in diameter next to power cord side. Hopefully it lasts long.

Defective Awning; Unable to resolve a repair

Installed without any problem, but one of the arms would not retract. Probably just required replacement of the arm, but spent 2 weeks interacting with tech support (by email only!) without resolution before I gave up and opted to take it down and return it. Home Depot support was very helpful, Awntech not at all. Awning material seemed of reasonable quality, but I was never able to open it more than about 6 inches.

This awning is HUGE!! It is beautiful and well made. It has the best outdoor fabric money can buy to protect against fading and wear. It has both a power motor and crank handle so you are never stuck. It is a custom order so expect it to take extra time to arrive.

This was exactly as advertised. We had it installed today, 7/3/2023. It appears to be working fine. I would suggest as we finally did to have it professionally installed. Our unit is a 16’ and motorized. We had it installed over an area of our deck and fastened to the rear of our house which was vinyl sided.

Still waiting for an installer to install for us. Your description says no installer necessary but it weighs a couple hundred pounds and we are in our 70's. Plus it requires 3 people to install into the brackets because it is over 12' long.

Disappointed in the lack of quality control in assembling the awning although the warranty response was quite good. The manufacturer sent me the missing parts and everything worked out. A very nice product at a decent price.

The awning arrived without problems and was very well packaged. The instructions for installing the awning were very clear and only took a couple of hours to install. This was the 8' wide model. It worked perfectly and was easy to adjust the angle and level the end of the awning. No issues with the remote control. Very happy with the awing.

Nice awning

The awning arrived very well packaged without damage. It’s took about as long to open the box as it did to install. Seems to be sturdy and the motorized function works well with the remote. Overall pleased with the purchase and would recommend it. I have it installed about 8 ft off the ground on a pergola and the pitch brings it down to about 6.5 ft fully extended.

This is one of the best purchases I ever made. Always wanted one but could never justify the price. Saved up and boy, am I glad I did. Works great, looks great, now the neighbour's want one. Even called the company and ordered the winter cover to protect this bad boy over the winter. Ensure you get the motor on the side you want. We even got a new outdoor receptacle installed just around the corner so we could hide the cord. Even if the power goes out, it comes with a manual crank and the remote and magnetic holder for it, are a bonus. So happy with this purchase

We used the soffit mounting brackets and they were made of heavy duty aluminum. Installation was was straightforward and simple. The motor runs smooth and quiet. Overall project was designed very well with great engineering. We were pleasantly surprised with the overall quality of the product. Great value for the money.

Okay so... bought this for the balcony outside my bedroom. They said it was sturdy and never gives you a problem with things like wind... when I got it I noticed right away that there are only 2 support bars one on the outside portion of the awning. Installation was super easy. But the second a breeze of 15 mph comes up the awning creaks and pops at the joints. I knew right away that it would not hold. So I cranked it in and I'm out $1111... There ought to be better support or don't offer this size... It acts basically like a sail... So it had been cranked out and I guess the wind got above 15 mph... it bent the right arm and broke the alum. tubing at the base and at the middle joint.... really super disappointed and definitely don't buy a large one.

Arrived promptly and the box was in good shape. My husband needed extra hands mounting it. It was working perfectly and I am not sure what happened but somehow it shifted and it bent the arm. I don't know if this happened while I was retracting it while it was windy but he had to re-adjust it. It still does some creaking so we will see if the arm moves again. My husband worked on installing this for a couple of days. He studied the instructions and was very careful installing to make sure all the brackets were in the right place and it was aligned properly. We do have strong winds here but it doesn't get anywhere near the what it is rated for.
