Nice quality but be sure you need this size

The quality of this pot is fantastic! I read many reviews on the Bayou brand and its competitors and I kept coming back to Bayou and glad I did! It is a nice heavy pot with quality stainless steel.

We originally purchased the 62 qt version of thus steamer. It was WAY too big. This one is the perfect size. Well made, solid construction. Love the basket that fits perfectly and comes with it, which isn't always the case. I left a star off only because I haven't used it yet. Looking forward to our first steam!

I purchased this as a gift for my husband. We do low country boils and this is the perfect pot for that use. It is well made and the basket makes it uber convenient.

Just what he wanted!

Have not used it yet, as it is a Christmas gift for my husband, but he has seen it and is very impressed with the quality and workmanship. We've been wanting one for a while. Can't wait to use it!

Great purchase. Use it all the time for soup, pasta and seafood. Easy to use and clean at a super price. A good addition to any kitchen for a big family or for parties.

Right size for steaming crabs

I will use it mainly for steaming crabs. It is right-sized for this being not so tall and skinny as the "turkey fryers". Well made and attractive, too. Steel is well finished and heavy enough to get the job done

Bayou Classic (stainless steel) is the top of the line for cooking seafood boil or steaming crabs! The 44qt will handle a bushel of crabs! Easy to clean and will not rust......please please do not get a aluminum steam pot they rust out hard to clean and the aluminum breakers down making your food taste bad!

Great steam pot

I have not used the steam pot yet but I'm looking forward to it. It is well-made and sturdy. Looks like it will easily handle 2 3pound live lobsters.I have seen this same identical pot at Wayfare for $10 more. Ordering from Walmart is easy and shipping is always quick.

Excellent for steaming crabs or whatever.

I was worried this would be made from thin steel and not worth it. My worries were for nothing. The steel is heavy gauge and should last me a very long time. This will hold 1/2 a bushel plus several ears of corn. My former pot did not have a basket so I made up a stand to keep the crabs out of the water. With the basket it is immensely easier, gives about a 3 inch separation. Plus it is much easier to clean than that aluminum pot I was using. Well made item and worth the price. Very happy with this!!!

Restaurant Commercial Quality

Better than picture. Restaurant quality. We steamed 4 two pound lobsters. You can add more. This is a pot, however, that will not fit on a stove with a microwave over it. We cooked it on a barbecue.
