This seem like a great pot until you read about how to take care of it. If I’d known how much extra work it’d be, I wouldn’t have purchased it.

Another brand's 12 qt pot was too cumbersome for me, but their 10 qt pot was fine - except a strainer was not available. This fit just right inside of their 10 qt pot. I like the small "legs" on the bottom which keep the strainer above the sink.

As with all of my other Tramontina cookware purchases the Pasta Insert is beautiful. A great addition to my matching 8 Qt Stock Pot.

18/10 Stainless Steel Pasta Insert

It's big (wish it would have been sized for a 6 qt. stock pot). It's stainless, it won't rust!

This fits perfectly with the 8qt stock pot and is a great accessory.

I make beef stock weekly. Straining it has been a hassle - fine mesh strainers are difficult to clean, cheesecloth gets expensive. This insert is a tad smaller than my 8 qt Calphalon stock pot, it has small bumps on the bottom to keep it from sitting directly on the bottom. It's also easy to clean.

Great pot would recommend it

Heavy duty, really well made. The little “bumps” on the bottom allow the pasta to drain better when out of the pot in the sink. Very, very pleased.

I bought this so I did not have to lift a heavy pot with boiling water to the sink to then drain in a colander. Just lift the insert out of pot on stove, shake excess water out and done!

This fits the 8 qt. Stock pot perfectly, and the quality is very good. The only issue I have, is there seems to be 2 different versions of the Tri-Ply Clad cookware offered by Tramotina...the made in China version, and the made in Brazil version. Both have similar quality, but the design of the handles are different. Not a big deal, if you dont care about having a matching set of cookware. The insert I recieved was made in Brazil.
