This is an awesome little propane heater. Although small, it hides the whole 4 gal tank. The wheels are what makes this a 5 star review. You can wheel it from room to room effortlessly.

Defective

I have used this model for years. But I've had to replace it 3 times. It eventually quits working (pilot lights, but not the main burner). I've let it go, allowing old age and multiple usage to be valid reasons to get a new one. However, the one delivered on March 15 quit working just like the others before, but only a few weeks after delivery.

Bought to use as an alternative heat source in our Skoolie. Fairly compact and easy to store when not in use. Nice that the propane cylinder stays in the unit

I would definitely get another one if needed

We already have one that has been a life saver when have losted power over the years. I purchased another for my shed to knock the chill off when I'm out there. Lights easy and is very efficient on the propane use.

good for emergency

very easy to set up. I don't leave it on overnight unattended but it is great for helping warm up the area even with the unexpected severely low temperatures we had this winter.

Be warned about possible carbon monoxide danger

I think the use of this heater was mis-represented in the ad. Although the ad says "It's ideal for both indoor and outdoor construction" it also says that it can be used in a "workshop". That meant to me that it can be used in a garage. There is nothing in the ad that says that you have to use it in a ventilated area. In the manual there is a "Air Quality Hazard" section. There it says "Do not used in unventilated areas". I am very disappointed. I put a carbon monoxide alarm in my garage. I only use it for about 15 minutes. I just use it to get the garage a little warm. I use an electric heater as my primary heater.

Question??

Can the Dyna-Glo RA18LPDG 18,000 BTU Radiant Cabinet Propane Heater be hooked up directly to a propane gas line that comes into the house?

Sucks!!!

It states this is for use indoors but support will not assist if you use it indoors. Stating it is not for indoors. Pilot will not stay lit after using for a few hours on a full tank.

This was a very easy to assemble propane heater. There was a power outage in my area and the temperatures were going to go below freezing. I was worried my pipes would freeze, so I purchased this as a last resort option to keep my house from freezing. I do not recommend using this without being in the house and monitoring the temperatures manually, in case of emergency. The heater comes with a low oxygen shutoff valve. It should be kept 6 feet away from walls and other surfaces, as the heat it radiates is very strong.
