This is a good quality item to prevent rain from getting inside the posts.

Good price, good quality, does exactly what it's supposed to do and looks good.

The lip that fits over the post is only 1/2 in. so it barely goes on the post. Does fit tightly, however

This Aluminum Chain Link Fence Post Cap is the perfect size I needed to restore my fence and the fence post back to its original look. It fit over the fence perfectly and make the fence look professional and complete. It was worth tracking down this item which was available online but not in the HD store. No worries. All's right with the world now. I have one less item on my "honey do" list.

The item is 1-5/8 in. It is also galvanized aluminum - (why does aluminum need to be galvanized?) It is a chain-link fence post cap. I wrote this review because HD kept sending me email prompts.
