Great safe.

Great size and quality. Big enough to store a considerable amount, but still small enough to not take up too much room. Quality built.

Ease of Operation

Arrived with no damage in shipping. Easy to install batteries. Electronic keypad and locking mechanism operated as advertised. Well pleased with the purchase and perfect for my needs.

Safe won't close

Safe is well-built and looks substantial. Unfortunately, the foam around the door is so stiff that one cannot lock the safe. When I called customer support, I was told that the seal would get thinner over time, but that doesn't help me now. This would be an expensive, but very good safe otherwise.

Closing the safe

I’ve had the safe for quite a few years but just got it set up to close and lock it. Hard to find the preset code. But very hard to physically close the safe for a senior citizen.

Safe arrived in Boise, resided in a third party warehouse awaiting shipping for the next two weeks. Tracking only showed destination up to point of transfer to local shipper for delivery. Inquiries as to when final home delivery would take place resulted in only that package was delivered to Boise local shippers and their timetable would govern. Product finally delivered on 11/28 while tracking maintained a delivery date of 11/14. Package arrived with deep scratches on door face coating. Upon opening the vault door there was an extremely pungent unpleasant odor presumably from the extremely low quality fabric on the walls and shelves of safe interior. In general, interior construction is extremely poor and cheap. Used a Lysol disinfectant and an odor neutralizer to hasten the airing out process. My overall rating would be no more than 2 stars. I do not recommend this product unless you decide to redo interior a bit more professionally then is installed.

I needed a larger safe than the 2.3cf I had to supplement but didn’t want to spend a whole lot. I was skeptical as some had addressed problems with the locking pad. Safe was received in fine condition and everything worked fine. The opening turn of the handle is a bit stiff and requires a firm twist but I’m sure it will loosen up.

Since we've had this safe in the past, and have been confident in the product we felt comfortable purchasing another one. With the old one, we were unable to lock due to not changing the code as often as we should have. Now that we have a new safe, we plan to change the password at least every 3 to 6 months as to not wear down the key pad.

Good deal, thankful for customer service

Perfect size safe...170 pounds is nice and heavy and able to be placed in areas where it will take some time to move. Comes with bolts to secure to floor. My safe arrived and the digital combination keypad had a problem where it wouldn't open so the customer service team walked me through steps of cleaning battery terminals trying different sets of batteries then to finally ordering a part to replace. The safe comes with a key so thankfully I can still use it. I wish the safe was working the way it should when I received it. I am now waiting for 2 months for the part to come in. Kind of a pain to use the key b/c I have to remove the keypad each time.

Great Safe!

I purchased an Executive Safe a few years ago and am happy to share that this has been a great little safe. It is small enough to be installed in a closet, yet has sufficient space for storing important documents, a couple of handguns and jewelry.

Decent Purchase

Officesupply.com offered the best price. Tracking info was not the greatest as this was being delivered by a commercial shipping co.However, once tracking was updated and the shipper was contacted it arrived within 10 days. I would recommend this safe for its size and capacity. The quality is questionable as the safe arrived in good exterior condition. However, the interior shelf brackets seem to be just screwed into the sides without being anchored into anything. It suits my needs and should be able to withstand any fire or water damage as described. Contacted customer service about the brackets and they responded quickly but I don't think it is worth the headache to send it back for a replacement. Easy fix by any owner.

The good news is the safe is a good size for important documents, small items as well as securing a handgun. So far access to the safe using the elec keypad functions well, as some other reviews mentioned that keypad could be an issue. Good home choice for size and security.

The safe was great for its size for home use. It is a bit expensive but for the features and size it seems equivalent to other manufacturer products.

Not recommended

We have had this safe approximately two years. We have had several issues with it. The motor to unlock it has always been weak. In talking with SentrySafe's customer service, they had us remove the battery tray it came with & use a 9V battery instead. We continued to have issues with it, although not as frequently & were just told to use a brand name battery with an expiration date 10 years in the future. Finally, the door just came loose where it was welded to the top hinge.

Stay away from this seller and item

This was a disaster purchase! Not only did it take forever to get. I called at least 5 times and finally got someone and they FINALLY deliver it and dump it right in the middle of the driveway. I am still stunned! It is so cheaply made on the inside the felt is all coming off. Like I can not believe I paid for this! If I could have re packaged it and sent it back I would have. I will never buy anything like this again online and certainly wont buy anything from this company. And here's the best part...it was so hard to work and even harder to figure out. NO directions at all!

Excellent safe

Excellent build quality and easy to program. The website to register you safe is a hidden gem. You can store your combination, and key id's for safe keeping and cloud access. Additionally, you can order extra/replacement keys. I am very satisfied with my Sentey Safe. Being both fire and water resistant I am very comfortable storing my documents inside.

Nice safe

Our new safe is nice. Great room for my needs, good fire rating ,and great price. Only issue I had was the batteries we low and It would not open the lock. So even though the lights may work, it may not have enough juice to open the lock. Beware, I almost though the handle was jammed. Over all a great safe.

Aggravating!!!

The safe worked OK for a time. After leaving the door open while in storage for about a year, I installed new batteries and I placed some items into it, but the door would not close and "latch". Finally got rough and got it closed. Then IT WOULD NOT OPEN! Tried my combination, tried factory original combination, and tried the "key". After repeating these efforts 5 or 6 times, the handle broke off! Tried to call SentrySafe and gave up after 25 minutes waiting for connection to a real person. Emailed a request for help on the

Looks can be deceiving.

Safe looks sturdy; it's believable that it is both fire proof and water resistant when locked. The issue is that the handle worked to open the safe only twice on the day of delivery. There has been NO response to the customer care center on how to proceed with return or correction of problem. I will not be stuck with a $500 safe that does not function as intended. This issue will be resolved.

Strong & secure safe, at least so far

Like this safe very much, it is sturdy and has a good storage capacity. Wish the keypad housing was made of metal instead of plastic. Had some trouble with registration but, with some diligence, trouble eliminated. Also had some trouble opening but learned, for this particular model, handle lever has to be extremely extended to the right. Other than that, great safe for the money.
