HUGE!!

This thing is so big that it dwarfs my 8 qt Instant Pot and my 6 qt Crock Pot. I don't know what I was thinking. It's big enough to cool a full casserole or loaded soup in here. The problem is: I made 6 cups of uncooked rice and the thing kept popping the lever to Keep Warm instead of Cook as soon as it started boiling. I had the right amount of water. It should have stayed pressed into cooking mode until the rice was fully cooked. More than half the rice grains were uncooked. It took me just over 3 hours to cook the rice. I don't know what is triggering it. I had to wait for it to cool down a bit after stirring about 15 mins each time in order to continue cooking. it would start simmering again, and pop off to keep warm. over and over. I guess you get what you pay for. Cheap rice cookers just aren't what they uaed to be. I'm giving it 2 stars for size and rice paddle. But as for the rest, it loses to a complete zero stars for functioning, ease, etc. Don't waste your money if you plan to cook rice in it. I'm keeping mine only as a "food warmer" for things i.e. bread, vegetables, etc for get togethers, bbqs, etc. I'm going to buy something else to actually make rice.

Rice practically slips out of the non-stick pot! Holds and cooks to perfection 5lbs of rice at a time with no fuss or mess. I love this rice cooker!

the cooker for just myself was way to big. This is for someone who cooks for a family or a large group os people. I didnt use it diue to this and returned right away to get a smaller cooker
