Cardboard or Plastic: A tale of deception

I am a summer intern at an office, we are currently remodeling our office space and bought these to organize our case files and paperwork. however i feel rather deceived. when we received our delivery on this faithful Tuesday morning i was disappointed to learn that this product was made entirely out of cardboard. now this would be perfectly fine if it was advertised as that; yet it only mentions it's made of recycled material not what that material is. When you look at the picture provided, it looks only plastic however it is all cardboard. Now, I think I could somehow make a better "literature sorter" myself out of recycled boxes for free however, i was not able to save my office from this same fate. I am disappointed in the façade I was presented with today. I was sort of easy to assemble but that may be because it is made entirely out of cardboard so there's no difficulty there. There cant even properly hold our manila folders for our cases

[Rewarded Review] Easy to Assemble / Cheap--Good for stockrooms, etc.

I am using on a standard business storeroom shelf to organize colored paper and index stock. Decided to start color-coding certain forms, but did not want to spend a lot of money right away. I would recommend this for areas where appearance is not an issue (keep in mind it is corrugated cardboard and not wood or MDF). It is much sturdier than I expected—has no problem holding a full 500ct ream of 110lb card stock on the top space!). I may end up getting one more. Comes with labels as well.

[Rewarded Review] It’s a cardboard box

My fault for not reading the description close enough, but I was completely disappointed & shocked when I realized I ordered a $23 cardboard box.

Okay for very basic office/Small cubby size/Okay to assemble

The instructions to assemble weren't that clear but was able to figure it out. Created a lot of "fluff" when assembling. Fairly sturdy, looks okay for a basic office. The cubbies are exactly letter size, so if you have letter size papers in folders/sleeves they don't fit.

Not recommended

I really do not recommend this product, nowhere in the description does it say that it is made of pure CARDBOARD, it only specifies that those three edges in the front are plastic but it does not specify the material of the rest of the product. I HAD TO USE GLUE AND TAPE TO MAKE IT STRONG. it is very expensive for sell it at that price $33.55, I was urged for a presentation of the school only for that reason I decided to use it. If i had more time would have return it.

[Rewarded Review] Easy to Assemble! Organization "must have"

Recently created a new work space in our office. Due to the limited work space, it was imperative that we had a way to organize multiple documents within arms reach. This was easy to put together and came with labels to write on and place on the front of the box. Now, everyone knows what form is in that slot. Much nicer than digging through a drawer. Now we can see when a form is getting low before we use the last one. My boss loves it!

Flimsy cardboard, poor quality item

Flimsy cardboard. Have to fold it together and the instructions that come with it (pictures with arrows only) are useless. You have to use duct tape to hold it together even after you get it folded correctly. I bought this to use in my office at work but the final product was of such poor quality that I just threw it away. Useless.

Better than expected

When I first opened it I was a little hesitant. Once input it together it was great! Great if you want organization on a budget. It is made of cardboard, but holds up really well. I have two, so stacked one on top of the other. Comes with labels for better organization. Happy with my purchase.

Just received this today. Looks pretty sturdy. I'll re-evaluate later. The main reason I'm posting this review now is to rant. Why are these things always an IQ test to put together? The "instructions" only show the flaps on the bottom being folded inwards. I ALREADY KNOW they should all fold inwards, but it would have been extremely helpful if they'd put in little numbers to show you the sequence of folds. After some trial and error and bending things the wrong way I figured it out. OK I'm over it now. I made a video to show you how to do it if you're having trouble.

Cardboard

Be aware this organizer is made of cardboard. I thought $18.69 was a great deal until it arrived and saw that it was little more than a cardboard cutout that you assemble yourself by bending the cardboard and fitting it together. I also had trouble getting the back to stay together. Duct tape or glue might be needed. I was also a little frustrated that the labels that come with it are slightly larger than the cross beams they attach to, which leaves them sticking a little bit above or below the slots. And there's no great way to affix the labels to the top openings.

THUMBS UP!

My co-worker and I each purchased this product to organize our work space/desks and are very pleased. Large enough to hold everything but compact enough in size to fit well. Very sturdy! We were looking for a product to make the most out of the space we have and loved the idea of being able to stack our scanners, phones and other items on top of the sorter and it being able to bear the weight. This does that and more! Highly recommend this if you're looking for something roomy enough to hold all your office needs, sturdy enough to last and nice enough looking that it compliments your work-space.
