These were fine but they were way too big for chair legs so am sending back. My issue with this return is that these 4 boxes of wheels were sent in ONE box. You sent me FOUR return labels??? That is ridiculous.

The casters might be fine, but when I attached them to my new office chair, they would not rotate, so the wheels would drag sideways rather than turning and rolling smoothly. Also, the rubber seems a lot harder than I was expecting, so I'm not sure they're any less damaging on the wooden floor than the default ones.

I have an office chair that's probably 35 years old, but I love it. The only problem was that it didn't move around on the floor very well any more. Exchanged the old wheels for these (very easy to do!) and now I have to be careful I don't launch myself across the room because the chair glides with so little effort. Money very well spent!

Months before I had purchased the original Slipstick rubber caster wheels from Home Depot in the store and they were excellent.

Put on natural stone and travertine floors

Very pleased with these rollers. The original casters in my desk chair were tearing up my travertine floor. Replaced them with these and I am very pleased at the softer role and the floor damage has stopped.

Wheel failure from the "git-go"

One wheel came apart within hours of installation. The axle apparently had not been properly seated in the plastic hub of the wheel. Other than being made in china (instead of the USA); no other problems have been observed and this product would have otherwise got a higher "star" rating.

Inaccurate Photo of Color

These casters were ordered for a decorative chair where the color matters. The gray color of the outer rim area of the caster wheel shown on the website is actually a teal-gray, very definitely green. Because this would clash with the color scheme of the chair, we couldn't use them. I would have added a photo, but my photo wasn't accurate, either. I have no idea if these are good quality or not because we didn't even try to use them.

These wheels actually are not rubber but rather seem to be a softer plastic, and they are very annoying to move around. Some of my wheels actually lock up and skid on the hardwood rather than turn and roll, which may only be an issue with some individual wheels -- hard to tell. The pivot cylinder on the plastic portion of the wheel does seem to fit looser into the main steel pivot portion that inserts into the chair bottom, such that there is some play felt when wiggling the chair, and when attempting to remove a wheel, the plastic portion separates from that main steel pivot cylinder portion that's inserted in the chair bottom which then has to be pried out separately. Later tests with the previous hard plastic wheels that came with the chair show that they actually move around better on carpet than these softer wheels do on hardwood, and the plastic portions of the hard wheels don't separate during removal. No way to test floor wear except over time, and right now I am looking for a different solution for floor protection.

I installed these yesterday on two home office chairs which are located in rooms with 18" tile floors. They look very nice but they are very noisy. They creak/squeal as they roll. Very annoying! One chair supports only a 110lbs and the other 160lbs. I expected smooth and quiet travel with the rubberized wheels. I will return these.

First, the "rubber" feels just like cheap, hard plastic. Second, after a week, the casters started squeaking so loud you could hear them in the next room, whether someone was sitting in the chair, or just moving it around. I bought two sets of these to replace the originals in our new matching office chairs, over newly refinished hardwood floors. Thankfully, I only used one set to try them out first. Can't stand the noise, don't trust the product. Had to return them.

Each of the 10 total wheels had a terrible burr on them, which I had to use a Dremel tool to remove so that the caster could glide smoothly on my tempered glass floor mat without scratching it. Once I did that, they were ok, but I wouldn't recommend anyone else buying these, unless you are ready to do some sanding. And actually, the casters did NOT seem to be rubber, but a hard silicone. If they were rubber, they had some kind of a hard coating on them.

The caster fit my office chair as expected. It seems less abrasive on my laminate floor due to its softer plastic. The only minor disappointment is that moving the chair while seated requires a harder push, especially while changing the chair's direction. That is, the caster pivoting in the chair's base seems to take more force than my original caster. My chair takes 5 casters.

I ordered these because I noticed the new office chair that I purchased recommended using soft tread casters to protect hard surface flooring. When my order arrived, I thought that you'd sent me the wrong item because they were obviously made of hard plastic. The box said "rubber" and the casters inside the box looked exactly like the picture. I compared how these casters rolled on the floor versus the hard tread casters that came with my office chair. These casters were noisier than the ones that came with my new office chair and I couldn't see how they were more protective of my flooring, so I returned them.

The online description said these casters could support up to 330 pounds. I'm a big woman but not that big, and the wheels kept popping apart. Each time I'd have to get up, locate the half wheel, then snap it back on. The wheels have gray sides that attach to the center of the wheel by a single, central post that snaps into a socket (all plastic). I haven't returned them because I would have to go into the store to do that, and I don't go into stores because of the pandemic. I have replaced the Slipsticks with a sturdier product made by Wen. I may find some other piece of furniture in my home that can use the Slipsticks casters, but only if it's not too heavy for them to support.

Works but there are other designs to consider

The rubber tires on this wheel are softer than hard plastic but could be softer I guess. These also don't have a ball bearing top for easy swiveling. I added 2 thrust washers and it was better. Another design has a single wheel, like rollerblade, and also ball bearing top piece for easy swiveling. That would've been my other choice.

Purchased a set once before and after a year or so, one wore out. I purchased the ones referenced here to replace the ones I purchased before. I replaced all five, but immediately had to remove one because it would not roll properly and put an old one back on. The chair was still difficult to roll and there is a lot of squeaking from the wheel(s). This morning I am ordering another set with the hope that they will be from a new manufacturing lot, and perhaps be as good as the first ones that I purchased from you. Dan Perry 06/11/2020

I bought these to replace the hard plastic wheels on my Hon chair. It is softer than the hard plastic wheels but not as soft as I would like. It is very firm but can be indented with my finger nail. Depending on your need they may work out fine for you. Time will tell if my bamboo hardwood floors see any damage.
