No batteries Needed

Doesn't need batteries in any unit. Plugs in the wall and the doorbell part doesn't need a battery

No Batteries, Works Great (so far!!)

So far, so good! LOVE that the button works without batteries and rings the bell that is plugged in. We couldn't use the OLD wiring in our house to add a new video door bell...the wiring basically disintegrated while I removed the old door bell. I added a battery camera (motion sensor and audio for talking/hearing) above the door....and combined it with THIS doorbell and we have a workable solution. The only reason it's 4 instead of 5 is because of the tone options. We laughed a lot when trying to choose one. They are all a bit long...and therefore, a bit annoying to our ears.

Product is defective, but there is an upside.

As a number of purchasers discovered, some of these units require that the transmitter button be pushed TWICE in order to generate the chime. Heath-Zenith's response to many of these reviews says that they have developed a "fix," and that you should call them for info. This leads you to believe that if you call them they will tell you how to resolve the problem.

I love the no battery design. It works great. I just hope it will last. Nevertheless, I'm very satisfied.

Stops working in cold weather

It stops working in cold conditions, starting at -6 C (or 21 F.) . Ok rest of the year. But very problematic during winter time. Il do not recommend this item if you may face very cold temperature during winter time. Il will need to replace it for another bell even if this one works when temperature is warm. Nobody can afford not having a functional bell during the winter months. Many customers may be disapointed with this in the north or central US or in Canada, like me.

A mixed review

I like the chimes and that they can be adjusted for sound. However I find that the doorbell works only sporadically, and there seems to be no reason for when it stays silent. A friend who has the same doorbell does not have this problem.

Amazing piezoelectric doorbell. I never have to worry about batteries anymore. Excellent idea to have this wireless push button ?

The BEST Wireless Doorbell---No Batteries Needed!

I bought one years ago for my condo, and loved it; my neighbors loved it, and I installed 4 more for them. So when I moved to my new-to-me home, and it's doorbell was broken, I instantly looked for another one of these. Love that there is no battery to ever die when you least expect it. Also like having multiple chimes you can choose, as well as selecting a volume level appropriate for your home. These are GREAT!!!!

Works on second floor apartment

This works well, even for a second floor apartment, no battery needed. I had trouble with doorbell that works on the second floor and batteries dying in the winter, or being affected by rain. This is on a glass entry door of a storefront, exposed to elements and for the second floor and it's been working fine consonantly for months now.

Does not ring unless doorbell is pushed twice

We have workmen arriving and hammering on our front door because the doorbell does not chime until you press the door bell TWICE. Customer service is totally non-existent.

This door bell was so easy to install. I love that it doesn't require any wiring or batteries. My one story home is 1560 s.f. and I installed the unit in a central location so I can hear it from any room. Thank you, Heather Zenith for making this product.

A little bulky, but easy to mount and use.

Well packaged. Easy to mount to existing doorbell screw holes with minimal discrepancy. Outside button is "self powered" thus no batteries needed. The inside unit plugs into the wall (no batteries needed). I'd give 5 stars if not for the bulk of the outside button.

Specifications need fixing

5/5 for product, 1/5 for product description. I bought this expecting no camera and there was no camera. However my building management cited the specifications on this page that wrongly state there's 1 camera and removed it and threatened lien

Wireless Doorbell

This doorbell works very well. I used it to replace an older hardwired unit that needed a new transformer and some rewiring. Only downside is that it is not illuminated, so it won’t be readily visible to visitors after dark. The chime unit plugs in, full time, so it requires a receptacle. The push button doesn’t require any batteries or other power. It works by using the energy from pushing the button - Pretty cool!

Fantastic

Have a Ring but no one uses it! And our doorbell button hasnt worked in over a decade😃So went to buy a new button but thought heck whole system might not work and saw this. Kinetic button is remarkable no more battery issues...the ringer unit is small 200ft range so can be plugged in anywhere have already used in basement rec room great sound and volume couldn't be happier for it's both inexpensive and functional!

useful, easy and nice looking.

we decided to buy one of this for our door access to the garage. When parking into the garage and the door are locked with latch. This doorbell is super easy to install, easier to use and the best part is having different melodies and volumes. For us it has been very useful and worth the money. No wiring, no special fixtures... just plug it and move on. In fact, it looks pretty neat because its appearance is modern, not like an old time doorbell.

Easy setup; works great

We put this at our garage entrance. Just plugged in the sound unit and stuck on the doorbell and everything works great. A choice of sounds was easily figured out as well.

Ding Dong

My sister in AZ told me about this doorbell; I especially love that it requires NO batteries !! Being clued from another review, having to press the button firmly twice was no surprise. Perhaps as the temperatures warm that may change. Installation is easy and quick. All in all, money well spent.

Bell Doesn’t work well

Easy to install. However, the door bell doesn’t work no matter how close the button is to the receiver (bell). You have to push the button 2-3 times for it to work. The manufacturer sent us a replacement but the results were the same.

Died after 6 weeks. Bought it at Lowes. Love it but it is a garbage. Lost of money. I kept it until now hoping it will work one day, but I lost hope now. When I saw I wasn’t the only one I gave a review. It is not an isolated case!
