Progress lighting outdoor wall sconces

I bought these progress lighting outdoor wall sconces in order to replace some of the same type that had deteriorated over 20 years. Hopefully these will last another 20 years but they appear to be made a bit lighter than the older version. I can't say that they are easy to open in order to replace burn out bulbs- quite difficult really and for an older person maybe impossible. They also seem a bit pricey for what you are getting which is essentially a piece of shaped plastic. Still they look nice once in place and the price is probably not out of line considering the alternatives.

Nice product, but the metal mounting plate does not fit Canadian standard electrical box, there for I had to send it back

Nice lamps but

The hardware could be slightly better. Used a vise to squeeze the circle to hold the plate from spinning once installed. Also added a screw through the plate and mounting strap to create a ground and to keep the plate from spinning further. Other than that now a bad lamp.

Simply useful

This is a simple lightweight lamp. Not particularly 'classy' enough for 5 stars, BUT because it is made of composite (not metal), it won't rust, etc., in our coastal area. And it doesn't leak in some pretty strong windstorms!

I bought a lantern-post top light, two sconces, and one slightly different one for over the garage door. One arrived damaged in shipment and had to be replaced. All work fine.
