Added counter space

Assembly was seamless especially when my brother arrived with a power drill and screwdriver bit. It took us about 60 minutes to assemble. The kitchen cart fits perfectly in the lake house and adds counter space for dinner preparation and serving table. The storage draws and side cabinets are a plus for organizing kitchen essential.

I liked that it was real hardwood, even if only pieces glued together. The drawer tracks were completely inferior and two of the pieces were twisted where the drawers did not function and barely slid in and out. Customer service was great but we have to completely disassemble the entire unit to see if the replacement (still waiting) pieces will work. It appears high quality but they need better quality control. The bottom piece arrived with a split corner (in the front) where the insert was incorrectly installed and the ss countertop arrived damaged due to shipping. A bit overpriced given the poor hardware quality.

Handsome piece

Wasn't sure about ordering an island sight-unseen, but I needed more counter and storage space desperately. I bit the bullet, and I'm so glad I did. Truthfully, it took my friend a long time to put it together, and there were some parts missing, but ingenuity prevailed. It looks great! You can have casters on the bottom (make it movable), or it can sit right on the floor (be stationary). Has a HEAVY (and nice) solid counter top. Definitely needs two people to handle it, and there is no way to actually attach it. That made me nervous initially. But it's not likely to be going anywhere. Feels sturdy.

Beautiful, durable, plus spacious storage

I get more compliments for this piece than any other in my house. I bought it as a Christmas present for my wife. We made a coffee station in our dining room and this adds just the right touch against our coffee painted walls and art work. It's durable, spacious for storage and best of all, it's on wheels. It does take a while to assemble and the marble top is seriously heavy. Best to get some help putting it together

For the price paid the cart construction is a little on the cheap side. A couple of the panels were broke when I got everything out of the box. Looked like it may have been done from shipping but there were no marks on the outside of the box it came in. I repaired the defects myself because I didn’t feel like messing around with having to wait on replacement parts. Instructions were a little vague. Once it’s all together it is pretty sturdy and works pretty well. Not sure if I would buy another unless it was about half the price.

Overall, nice island. Needed narrow, good quality kitchen island with several drawers - this is it. Two retired ladies assembled it in about 3 hours - includes half an hour laying parts out and reading directions; once we started, we 'knew what was next.' Only needed 'muscles' to put the granite top on. Why not a 5 rating; top looks great until overhead light is on, then several pin-prick size white specks appear (two colored tiles 'for pretty and hotplate use' covered them) . . . for us who chose not to put towel bars on, wood plugs for the holes would have been great.

I bought this gorgeous cart for my daughter for Christmas. I looked everywhere for the best buy for the money before I purchased it. The price might have been a little more than others but WOW!! My daughter is not young but 35 years old and if you had seen her face that Xmas morning---you would have bought this cart too!! She cried at first and then screamed in delight!! This picture did NOT do the rich cherry color or the beautiful black granite top justice. The effort to put it together was small compared to the smile on my daughter's face after she took it home to her own townhouse. She uses it everyday. She tells me that it has been the best present she has ever received. I honestly read the reviews before I buy anything-- but I could not have made this up if it wasn't true. It was worth 10 stars!

Basement bar becomes a kitchen

My friend and my granddaughter put the kitchen island together like they would work a puzzle. They organize the pieces and follow directions quickly. As it came together my friend kept saying how well-made thefurniture was. The beauty of the Cherry wood and hardware and pressed her as very good quality. " And where did you find this," she asked? my 14 year old granddaughter had such a sense of achievement when they put on that granite top. She was so proud of the project and the beautiful result! I am blessed and grateful.

I would buy this again

It arrived on a very timely basis. One day sooner than indicated. It took me about two hours to put it together. I have somewhat limited space to put it in our kitchen so I especially like the it is only 17" wide. I was surprised how sturdy it was after assembly. I didn't use the towel rake or spice rack. It gives it a more modern look rather that a colonial look. I bought some wood plugs and filled the holes I didn't use. Only problem I had was the company sent two same sides of a drawer which have the rollers on them. The are not reversible so I had to call the company and ask for the correct side. It was not problem. They sent it out immediately. I had it within four days. Bottom line for me is yes I would purchase it again.

This BUGS me!

The first 6 months with this item were great! Then, one day I noticed a large pile of what appeared to be very fine sawdust behind my cart. It took my a moment to realize where if came from. The wing panel that holds the spice rack in place had a couple small holes (1/4 inch) in the top, and one in the side. All around these holes was this dust. (It looks like the dust you get if you sand a surface.)

Mr

This is a great piece of furniture. We needed a cart to move items from the Kitchen to the dining room when we have parties. Twice we bought carts that ended up being useless for that purpose. The wheels did not roll well, or the hot plates damaged the wood despite of having a pad on top, etc. This cart is made of solid wood, matches our cherry cabinets in the kitchen nearly perfect, the wheels roll effortless and the stone top is perfect for any hot plates. One drawback is that the unit needs nearly total assembly, including the drawers for example. Initially I thought this was going to take me for ever and be frustrating as I am usually not good at these things. Well, the instructions are extremely clear and I had the entire thing all set in about 30 minutes, without having to redo anything.

LOVE IT!

Purchased this cart to go with a smaller kitchen that didn't have enough cabinet space. It is beautiful. The black matches the brown and stainless steel kitchen perfectly. The assembly wasn't too difficult, just a little time consuming like most do-it-yourself furniture pieces. The wheels work great and it is easy to get around on the hardwood floor. This has added so much useable counter and storage space to the smaller kitchen. It looks very high end and I would recommend to anyone interested in this type of kitchen item.

Dont second guess! Get it!!

Purchasing online has it's own challenge since you don't actually see and examine a product prior to the purchase. This piece is gorgeous, super easy to assemble and had absolutely no flaws whatsoever. I had my eye on it for a while and decided to bite the bullet. The cabinetry matches my kitchen cabinets perfectly and the granite top compliments the black and stainless steel appliances. The shelves and drawers are sturdy. The spice rack and towel handle bar were a bonus! Perfect item! I get a lot of compliments and I wheel it all around where ever I need extra work space or serving space! Love it!!

Good substitute for an island

Rather than build an island in our tiny kitchen, we used this. The size is perfect and it offers good, flexible storage (the shelves move!). The top is beautiful and matches our counters perfectly!

As pictured

Keep your box until the thing is assembled, which in my case took hours then several days waiting for pieces! There were several pieced that needed to be replaced. The company website allows you to request new pieces but does not ask for or allow you to upload pictures. The company then emailed asking for pictures of the damaged goods, which I had to send 2 at a time because they cannot accept larger emails, and a picture of the box. They sent the parts promptly after back and forth and requiring pictures of the damaged pieces. The pieces arrived in about a week. The replacement pieces were not all great either. The assembly instructions are clear. Everything fit together well in general. The holes for the top granite piece did not line up at all and didn't want to drill new ones and break the granite top. However, it is heavy enough to just sit on top without screwing it into the unit. You need 2 people to put it together. It is heavy. It is also narrow and a bit shaky if bumped it could fall. I have dogs and worry about them jumping up on it and pushing it over. Even with the wheels locked it teeters. It does look very nice and has lots of space inside. The towel holder and spice rack are nice as well as the paper towel holder on the other side. All in all it is a good cart and looks nice. Just wish it was more sturdy.
