I purchased a standalone base last year which was flat and touched the ground. I was not happy with it. This new base is very well designed, the base sits above the movable/lockable wheels and moves around our deck with ease.

This base was too big to be used under our 42” patio table. It took up the entire space, no room for our feet! It would probably be good for an offset umbrella, not under a table. Returned it.

Filled with water. Easy set up. Helped keep umbrella more stable. Love that I can roll it around.

This was a game changer for us. We have a lot of wind constantly where we live. This is the first year we didn’t lose an umbrella and we actually got to use the tilt feature on the umbrella for the first time ever without any problems whatsoever! It doesn’t take up much space insert the table and isn’t an eyesore like the ones we’ve had before. We love it and it’s well worth the money. Very easy to manage as far as filling it up. We just used water.

I purchased 2 fo of these and they are holding up wonderfullly. I have a 10 ft umbrella and I feel comfortable that it is not going anywhere.

These roll really well and lock, we put water in one and it is fine but the one we put sand in made the bottom sway and drag on the ground. Use water only.

Pros and Cons

Great style and works good. They support our heavy winds, just put enough water in it. I do wish we had a lighter color option such as grey, as dark colors are so hot in our 100 degree climate. Also, it really should be cheaper. Based on how it seems to be made, it shouldn't cost more than $50. or so. Still, I keep buying them cause I like how well they work.

i like that it rolls and can just fill easily with water. rolls well to move around patio deck for the sun moving.

It was very easy to assemble the base and fill with water. It was also easy to move around on my patio and is heavy enough to keep an umbrella up in moderate winds, when my previous base allowed the umbrella to blow over.
