Great chair for a very big guy and I am Avery big guy. (6' 4" and 400 lbs). I also have back and knee problems. This chair is comfortable and strong enough for me to spend many hours at my woodworking bench with no pain.

If you can assemble it, it's a great chair
My XXL husband uses this chair in the kitchen, and it works very well for that. However, I need to re-assemble it because the foot ring is wobbling around. The assembly directions are the worst I've ever used, I don't understand what I was supposed to do, and I still don't know why I have an extra hydraulic piece (or whatever it is) left over. Would it kill you to print usable directions? Additionally, the purchase confirmation was very clear about inspecting the package for damage before accepting delivery. The package, however, was just left on my front porch with a big hole in the middle of it, and one leg of the wheelbase is very scratched.
Poor Quality Control
I purchased this chair 2 times and had to return them both times due to damaged part the first time and then damaged and missing parts the second time. A huge hassle!

I am a guitarist. While not physically big or tall at 190 pounds and 5'11" height, I needed a well-constructed drafting chair, without arms, that would provide lateral support while playing my instrument for extended periods of time in the studio.
Hercules extra wide seat
This comes with two pneumatic adjusters. The first one we put on was for really tall people and the seat went very high. We had to change it for the shorter one so the average height staff could sit on it. Expensive, but a great value.
It Is Huge!!!
I am a big guy (nowhere near 400lbs) and this is a big comfortable chair. Luckily I had a little extra room to move my counter to accommodate its girth. I do wish I had bought the leather one with arms as the material seems a little cheap, and to have the option of arms if I wanted. I wish it was a couple inches taller for my 5' 4" 125lb wife. Though she does like that she can sit in it cross legged or like they told us as kids "Indian style". After 2 weeks it has started to make a clunking noise when I sit in it. Overall we are satisfied with our purchase.
