Much smaller than I realized once I opened the package. The lights on it are very cool with several functions. My granddaughter who is six, loved the lights. The size is way too small for her. Maybe a 4year old would be better suited if they were able to ride it. The wheels were small. The board that the child needs to stand on is too narrowand too short. I'll have to purchase another scooter next year. I will shop in store as this is how I prefer to shop so that I can see what I'm buying ahead of time.
Nothing stays tight, except for latch to fold down… don’t even bother
I bought two for my 7year old boys. The scooter hasn’t folder easy since day one. That’s to start.
Not Happy
My grandson loved this scooter mostly I think because of the lights. I have him a lot and he is on it every chance he get but the brake broke off first week. Front wheel feel off and I replaced the bot cuz it was striped for some reason then I decided I had enough when he came in with a bunch of bolts that fell off. This return has not in my opinion been easy. Walmart wouldn't take it back cuz it was [ast 30 days but it hasn't been 60 days. So 2 hours messing around with Jetson to just get a replacement. I really would have rather got my money back so I could buy something different that may last awhile.
Poor quality don't waste your money
In less than a week the scooter break broke. The brake is make of cheap plastic and gets broken easily.
Poorly manufactured
I purchased 3 one of these scooters for my children who only had a chance to ride them maybe once or twice. My son was riding the scooter and the handle bars came off, so I replaced it with a new one and then as he was riding it the pieces just started falling off. my daughter was riding her scooter when the entire bottom of the scooter detached causing her to scrape her side, hand and both knees. These are poorly manufactured.
Christmas
Her big sister has the larger version of this already. We loved it so much, we couldn't wait for our 2nd daughter to open this for Christmas. Definitely one of her favorite gofts she opened. From the size, to the lights, to the smooth ride, we couldn't be happier. The only issue is, we now need a 3rd for our son. Lol. Too much fighting over the scooters. Little man just needs to grow a couple years before he can play with the big kids. 5 stars!
The lights are awesome with an added bonus of safety
We got my daughter, the pink one. She loves the lights and loves to ride when it starts to get dark. As a parent, I love the added bonus of the flashing lights. Not only can I see her riding at all times, and it draws attention to her with cars either pulling out of the driveway’s, or when she crosses the street. You can’t miss this light up scooter. Worth every penny.
Not Impressed.
The look of this scooter was impressive but it started falling apart the day we got for our 8 year old son. The light up strips started coming off immediately. Such a bummer. He likes to scooter with his big brothers and do tricks. This one is not made to do kicks and flips like it suggests. Super Bummed!
My daughter FRIGGIN LOVES this scooter
My soon-to-be 8 yr old daughter FRIGGIN LOVES this black and purple scooter. The ride is smooth and the option to choose additional purple light patterns is simple. The wheels light up (whether the RED button UNDER the FOOTBOARD is activated or not)... which is a plus.
Fun scooter, disappointing durability to standard wear
We purchased this scooter 1 month ago and my 4 year old primarily rides it around the house since we live on a hill. I noticed today that the side is completely cracked, about to break off. Can’t even say how it happened, as my daughter isn’t taking it to the pump track or skate park and doing jumps and tricks…. Pretty disappointing that it will need to be replaced soon before it comes off and leaves a sharp edge
Disappointed in fragile plastic…
Awesome, EXCEPT… we have ordered two of these in pink in May and then right after bc that one broke super quickly and easily. The kick plate? Cracked when my daughter came too close to my shoe and I was walking:( wow. Then the second I ordered to replace it was cracked out of the box:(:(:(:( really? Why does the image show a different plate and why is the seemingly most durable portion of this scooter so fragile?????? Honestly I want my money back super disappointed.
Really horrible Q.A. / Q.C. Department
Received item and There’s no way to hold the batteries. The top to battery compartment is not in box. The handle bar tube won’t fold, there is a cheap plastic piece that is supposed to release the handle bars but the spring is not even connected to the pin. The handle was drilled wrong so the screw won’t go thru to the nut. I didn’t even try the lights due to battery compartment.would not recommend
Cool!
I bought the Jupiter scooter in teal last year for my daughter and she loved it! The lights are bright and the way they can change pattern is super cool. She enjoyed using her scooter but somehow the brake in the back broke off so now it’s not being used. I tried making a claim but I felt like when I would communicate the responses were delayed and I wasn’t getting the proper help and they ended up closing the ticket. Wish I could of gotten more information or a replacement.
Within an hour it broke
I didn’t even have time to register this before it broke! I assembled it at 6am, tried to register it only to find you had to wait for the virtual chat to be live later that day. Weird, but ok. My very lightweight daughter, 7 years old and 45lbs, took it outside to practice riding on our grass. She tipped over and a piece covering the wires fell off. I contacted customer service to see if I needed to return it to where I bought it, or if I had to contact them. They stated that “even though scooter sustained physical damage, which isn’t covered under their warranty, they would, as a one time courtesy, send us another one”…??!! She fell on grass, not at a skate park! I questioned why their product couldn’t withstand a child falling on grass, never mind pavement, but she couldn’t answer me. Not her fault in any way, just frustrated the company acted like we had beat on the thing for weeks not rode it on grass for less than an hour.
Kick scooter defect.
Bought a teal scooter for my granddaughters birthday in October 2021. She is 5yo and weighs about 43 pounds. She is petite. When she tried to apply the brake a couple of months late (Dec) the plastic fender cracked then just broke off. There was no metal to brace or strengthen the fender. The Razor brand fenders are metal and last longer. When I tried to call the support/warranty number they said there’s nothing they could do. The piece isn’t sold separately. I don’t have the receipt anymore and when I went to Target to try and get one last week the manager said it was going to be too labor intensive. Jetson should have offered to replace the defective scooter.
DO NOT BUY---NO WARRANTY FROM MANUFACTURER
This is not a toys r us issue this is a manufacturer issue! Toys r us are great just do not ever buy from Jetson or any of its affiliates!!
Malfunction causing accident
My daughter is 11, almost 12 and met wt requirement (125) but felt like scooter was lifting during ride but had no problems and she didnt want to return it. 5 days into riding scooter she came home saying the handle came off while she was riding and she fell. She had a rip in her pants/scrape to her knee. Walmart took product back for refund but there was no way to personally contact Jetson company. My daughter started complaining of back hurting a few days later and had to see the doctor after 4 days of discomfort because the back pain was increasing without relief. I did notice when putting the handle bar stem to the scooter the screw given seemed short and some difficulty aligning. After several attempts I got it to fit but did notice the bar moving slightly up and down even though locked in. I did read a review of someone else mentioning the bar and wanted to return it but my daughter said she wanted it and had already placed the stickers given with product. My daughter did enjoy it and the most exercise she's gotten in the pandemic.
Great quality for the price! Kids love it!
I purchased two of these. One girl and one boy. The girl one was for a 8 year old and the boy one for a 6 year old. The handle bars adjust and both fit my children perfectly. The only thing you have to put together is the handlebars top piece which is pretty simple and it comes with a tool to do so. The kids love the lights because they are cool. I love the lights because it helps them be seen at dusk. It takes 3 AAA batteries which you must supply. It also comes with a sticker sheet which my kids used to decorate they new scooters. The price is awesome for these. They are good quality. The only con I have is that the handlebars often loosen at the bottom clamp and become unaligned with the front wheel. Easily fixed with turning the bars while holding the wheel straight and then tightening the clamp with the provided tool.
Assembly frustrating but afterwards great
My kiddo loves this, it's great quality. The one problem I had was that the little silver knob thing that is supposed to pop out into a hole to secure the handlebars was bent back inside the vertical part of the handlebar and it took me a half hour to figure out why on earth is the handle bar sliding down once I've secured it in place with the nut and bolt. The other problem was that I had to use pliers to pull the silver inner part of the handlebar out in order to secure it in place. There are NO instructions on this part and nothing on Youtube about it. That also took me an hour (and then a text to someone for help) to finally figure it out. So it took an hour or so of trial and error because it was sent to me in a way that was not how it should be to put it together. But once together it's great!
[Rewarded Review] Adjustable, Lightweight, and Lights Up!
The Jetson scooter is the perfect thing to get my kids out of the house more. Both my 6 year old and my 8 year old can use it comfortably since it is easy to adjust. It is lightweight and the wheels seem to make for a smooth ride. The lights are great. They turn on easily and my girls love them. Especially in the evening time. My only concern was after hitting a rather hard bump on an occasion some of the lights have quit working. It hasn't effected the performance of the scooter at all, and my girls still love it. It was just a little dissapointing, after little use. Everything else on the scooter works as it should and is quality material. The lights do not effect the kids use of the scooter either. They ride it all the same as with all the lights working.
