Great Grates! LOL

They definitely gave the house a facelift. Amazing what small details can do. Strong metal. Not cheaply made at all. Reasonably priced. I don’t regret my purchase one bit.

The register look great. We are remodeling a house and when first installed they made a very noticeable sound when the AC was running. The house is empty so everything has somewhat of an echo. We were able to remove the slide that allow the units to close and it helped quit them down.

Looks good but...

I wanted a grate that had an authentic antique look. The look of these grates is the best thing they offer. They do not allow airflow direction change and they cause a lot of noise when the air kicks on. I suppose they are not very aerodynamic. We actually had to go back to our old metal grates on a few of our supplies because the noise was very annoying. I would not recommend.

Terrible design.

The problem with these registers is that they are made of plastic (except for the metal top). The way you adjust the air flow is that a plastic sheet with square holes slides over an identical sheet. There is NO WAY that design is going to work long. It's a bad enough design in the first place but when you add really hot furnace heat what happens is the plastic sheets weld to each other, especially if you have them in the closed airflow position. That's what happened to all mine. Now they are welded shut and won't let any airflow go through them. These are nice looking but in the end are garbage from a functional view. I would advise to stick with the traditional all metal constructed register.

It really ties the room together

I decided to do my bathroom in black and white. We tried plain white floor register and it didn't quiet fit the room together and our tile guy made the mistake of making the hole 11 inches instead of 10 or 12. And sense these go in even numbers I thought we would have to re tile the area. Turns out the edging is a bit wider on the fancy floor registers so we went with a black one and it fits over the hole and ties the room together too! It seems sturdy even though it's plastic on the vent part. Only time will tell with the kiddos romping around!
