On bro w proper tools; u good. Just watch A vid prior for directions
[Rewarded Review] Great lock!
Works much better than my last lock. Couldn’t ask for anything easier to use. Installation was a little difficult - had to chisel out some wood in the door but it’s been great (inc the battery life)
[Rewarded Review] Great purchase!
I’m loving this purchase! It was an easy installation and quick to learn how this works with the application on your phone.
[Rewarded Review] Great lock
Excellent lock. Easy and convenient to use. You have total control of the lock outside of the house and always know who is coming in and out. Love it
[Rewarded Review] Yale Smart lock
Had a previous version of this smart lock and now this version on my new home. Ease of installation was great. Stays connected and quick lock manipulation. Pairs well with HomeKit and use of apple key card in Apple wallet.
[Rewarded Review] Pretty- yes, pretty awful to live with- yes
Hardware wise, the assure lock 2 is hard to beat. It is beautifully crafted, durable and slick. I particularly like the silver finish. However, this is not a "lock", it is a *smart lock*, and it fails so hard at that. The app is horrendous, if I had to guess it hasn't been changed in 4 years. Basic features you assume are implied with "smart" are no where to be seen. What a pity! They distanced themselves ahead of the market with the hardware years back, but all the other players caught up some time ago. Yale desperately needs to re-approach implementation, backed/integration and software on a major scale for this lock to be, once again, a good option.
Absolutely Love This Lock
I have had this for about a year now and although it was finicky at first, this lock is incredible and I have no issues other than battery life when used regularly. I have homekit set up with it, and use my phone/watch to get into my door multiple times per day.
[Rewarded Review] Great addition to my smart home. Apple key is it!!
Over the years, i have been building my smart home, piece by piece and my goal was to build it around Apple HomeKit. I quickly discovered that not all things that I wanted were compatible, so I have a hodgepodge of the devices that work with Apple and Alexa. My family is basically an Apple crew. We all have iPhones, although we have some other devices, Apple is preferred. With that being said, this is the smart lock that I have been waiting for.
[Rewarded Review] Smart Lock Great For Home and Small Business
Over the past few years, I have replaced my standard deadbolts on my house with keypad entry. I prefer these types of locks better than carrying around a key with me. If I go for a jog, I don’t want to carry a set of house keys with me. However, with a standard numeric keypad, I keep worrying that someone could watch me put in my code or just tell the pattern from the worn keys. Now with the Assure Lock 2, I don’t have to worry about it.
[Rewarded Review] A smart deadbolt with many options for access!
I was looking for a keypad entry lock for my home, and I'm glad I selected the Yale Assure Lock 2.
[Rewarded Review] Manage Access to your Home with Ease
This is my second Yale smart deadbolt and they've definitely made some improvements. What's most important though is that it secures the door to your home while keeping it easy enough to access for those that should have or need access. A smart deadbolt has to be something you can trust and not have to worry about when you're away. I'll say this Yale meets that criteria.
[Rewarded Review] Pretty Good Apple Home Key Lock
Smart locks are a convenient and easy way to gain access to our homes and also share access with friends and family when needed. As someone who is pretty heavily invested into the Apple ecosystem, when I look for a new smart lock, I want to make sure that it supports Apple Home Keys. I have owned a competitors lock, and it is safe to say, this lock is much better than that other famous big competitor in the Apple home key market. That is not to say that this lock is perfect, it has flaws, but overall, the pros outweigh the cons.
[Rewarded Review] Great Smart Lock that has it all!
I recently replaced my kinda smart lock, that i had for few good years, with this awesome deadbolt Assure Lock 2 from YALE that packs all the technology you can ask from a good smart lock in 2024!
[Rewarded Review] Automation, Digital keys, what else can you want?
I am not new to Digital Locks like this... I have used the August products for almost 5 years now. So adding this to my garage door, was just a perfect extension of our digital home.
[Rewarded Review] Helpful for Forgetful Loved Ones
My husband works from home. Since moving into our house about a year and a half ago, part of his daily lunch routine is checking/retrieving the mail. While I greatly appreciate that he does this, he is a bit forgetful. I would come home many days to the front door being unlocked or even slightly ajar. We live in an area where this isn’t generally a big concern, but we have unknowingly left home with an unlocked or slightly ajar front door. This made me quite anxious. Did we leave the door that way or did someone find there way in when we were gone? We’ve been making our home smart over time, so I went hunting for a smart lock. The Yale Assure Lock 2 has been an excellent choice. Esthetically, it matches our satin nickel latch handle really well. It was super easy to install with step by step app instructions. Once connected to WiFi, you can customize the lock’s behavior and the notifications you receive on your phone. If my husband forgets to lock the door after checking the mail, the Yale Assure Lock will lock itself after 30 seconds. By attaching the included magnet to our door frame, we are alerted via push notification if the door is left ajar and/or unlocked for greater than 60 seconds. The lock is keyless, but it’s super easy to invite friends and family to have access to the lock via the app. It’s honestly quite nice that they can just let themselves in when they arrive. That access can be given once, on a recurring schedule, or indefinitely. Since upgrading our front door lock, I have felt so much better knowing that we never leave the house anymore with an unlocked or open front door. I’ll never go back a regular deadbolt again.
[Rewarded Review] Smart, Smart Lock
I have had a keypad deadbolt on my front door for years, and had been eyeing one like this for awhile. I had previously installed a Yale Assure Lock on my outdoor storage door, and I am very happy with it so I was excited to get this one installed.
[Rewarded Review] Great lock for HomeKit households
The Yale Assue Lock 2 is a Wifi enabled smart deadbolt that can easily replace your existing deadbolt without much modification. This lock replaces a different smart lock that installs on the interior of the door without removing the keyed portion of the deadbolt. The lock also had an option for an add on keypad that would usually lose connection or have a dead battery. The Yale Assure Lock 2 replaces the keyed portion of the deadbolt without any option of a back up method to open the door if the battery dies other than using a 9 volt battery to charge the lock enough to open it. I know I don't carry around a 9 volt battery so it's important to change the batteries once you receive a low batter warning in the app. I appreciate that Yale used AA batteries and not special lithium batteries in the lock because AA batteries are usually readily available. Installation is fairly simple and went without a hitch. I had to drill a few hole in order to add the door sense sensor so I could enable the auto lock feature but that did not take too much extra time. Installation directions can be found in the Yale app which are great because is shows detailed pictures to make installation a breeze. The lock includes a wifi module that allows you to add wifi allowing for remotes access to the lock via the app. The Yale lock app is essentially the same app as the August smartlock app so if your currently use any August locks the Yale lock can be seen in the same household as long as you register them to the same account. This newer version of the lock features Apple home that allows you to open the lock by simply tapping your iPhone or Apple Watch to the lock. This feature worked great for me evertime I have tried it. The lock did show as unresponsive 1 time however that was attributed to HomeKit issue related to my Apple TV. You can also create temporary entry codes for guests and see who entered via their code in the app. This is great if you're using it on a rental property or short term rental. Overall Yale improved an already good lock with new features such as apple Key. I would definitely recommend this lock if you are looking for a smart lock with a keypad
[Rewarded Review] It looks good
I wanted a keyless deadbolt with physical buttons that I could control with my phone and this was one of the few options. Ill be curious to see how long the batteries last with the wifi module. I had it professionally installed since the door did not have a prior deadbolt on it. The physical installation was fine but getting it set up in the app was where the pain points came in. The app is not intuitive to use, the lock settings are confusing, and it kept erroring out while the installer was trying to set it up. I eventually told the guy to leave and I would take care of it later. It took me a couple hours of messing with it to finally get it set up in the app. I still havent been able to get the door sensor to work. It is installed to a tee for how the instructions say it needs to be installed. I have calibrated it probably 10 times now and it never works. It always says the door is closed. Ive given up on that and dont really care anymore.
[Rewarded Review] Smart lock with Apple Home Key compatibility

Don't be fooled by the compact look, it is heavy and sturdy. The neat packaging box includes the smart lock, deadbolt, Wi-Fi smart module, DoorSense sensor, mounting hardware, 4 AA batteries, battery cover, instruction manual with guide for new hole marking.
[Rewarded Review] For Apple HomeKit experience, a good addition.
