water tight water garden

So I got a small wading pool and added water hyacinth to the pool to balance the algae. Then found this nice large pot. So I placed the water and plants inside of it. They are doing great. The plants keep the algae down and get food from them. We currently are experiencing a draught here in central TN. And today is about 100 again. Now I have to figure out what to due in the winter. But for now the bees are happy when the blossoms bloom I just add water to replace what the extreme dry heat is taking.

Nice pots for a great price

These pots are perfect for what I was doing in the garden. Not too big or too small, just perfect for smaller hydrangeas and the grey goes nicely with the blue plants. Bonus was they were on sale.

Durable Planter Pots

These pots are awesome. They are so durable and good looking. They came in a few colors so I bought one in chocolate and one in charcoal. They hold a lot of dirt and my plants look very nice in these pots. Thank you Ace for selling these quality pots.

I am so happy with this purchase! Love the color and size, our plant named Gordy had grown out of his original pot! He looks so handsome now! Lots of room to grow! Great Job! Thank you!

Perfect for my palm plant!

My palm has had a sheltered life, maybe say up until lately.

Replanted an aloe into this planter

So far so good. I needed a larger pot for my aloe plant and my plant seems to like this planter. Time will tell. I usually prefer clay or ceramic pots but I read this type was good for the aloe plant as the water drains to the bottom and the plant can access the water when it needs it.

[Rewarded Review] Plant pot set

This is a pretty nice product to start off plants in or to use for a smaller plant. It does have some good features that can help with drainage or to help contain water without rotting out the roots of your plants. It has knock outs at the bottom of the base to remove extra water and also has a plastic screen to help keep dirt from falling out of the knock outs or to separate dirt and water at the bottom to store water for the plant to use as it needs. The main thing that I didn’t like very much about this product is that it is very thin plastic and very plain.

Love the Bloem planters %26 the “Ariana” style

Love the Bloem planters and the “Ariana” style is my favorite. They are lightweight but hold up well. The hot Florida sun can fade them (or any plastic planter) but these have done well unless exposed to full sun for 8 or more hours. MY ONE COMPLAINT— Bloem has discontinued their PURPLE Ariana planters. This merlot is pretty but better color for Northern gardens. The PURPLE was PERFECT and I miss it.

[Rewarded Review] Perfect size

We collect plants and love them and have all kinds of pots. These pots are nice for little plants. The bottom has a small plastic plate that can be removed if needs and snaps in place. This allows water to seat under the plant for drainage so the plant doesn’t drown. We usually just plant the plant in our holders using fine grow dirt and the bottom plate is great for root growth on small plants.

These will last a lifetime

I don't know what makes these planters different, but they are!! They retain their color, shape and strength no matter what type of weather they are exposed to. It's the only kind I buy. And they are made in a variety of sizes and shapes so they get all of my business. I don't need anything else for growing the plants I love. All of my adult children also enjoy gardening, and they will inherit my pots. Lucky them! Thank you Bloem

drill drain holes on the sides at the tray level

If your pot is filling up with water with no place to go, bottom holes will defeat the purpose of the self watering aspect of this pot. Drill 4, 1/4" holes in the sides, exactly the same height above or below the tray. There are farmers on You Tube who make self watering pots out of their feed buckets, who do this,so that the water does not fill up into the dirt area. You can also add some filter fabric, just above the tray to make sure the dirt does not go down into the water reservoir.

Not self watering

This is not a self watering planter! It has a plastic insert at the bottom. Anyone who has had a plant knows its roots grow downward towards the water so this is senseless. Tried to return, was going to cost me $10 for a $14 planter! They gave me 2 bucks and chain back for it instead. I ordered this with a 25lbs ladder so assumed my shipping costs of almost $10 were for the ladder. No, I seriously paid almost $25 for this cheap, plastic planter that I cannot use for my calla lillies. Quite unhappy. I also did not realize I was shopping from a third party. If I wanted to shop on the www I would have. Do not recommend this product or seller.

My favorite pot of all

I absolutely love this pot. I have them in different colors and need to get more. I've never planted anything but I'm working on an organic balcony Garden off my apartment. The main obstacle is to not drip water down onto the neighbors. Well I bought this pot in turquoise one day at Walmart thinking it was just a pot. But it has the thing inside where you can water your plant and the water will drop down to the bottom level below your plant instead of rotting out your roots and causing mold like a normal pot would. For a few dollars more this is perfect for any watering problem. This is made out of a hard plastic and has some weight to it. Just learning as I go and this pot was a good accidental find LOL

I like the green color and the price for that color was reduced which made the cost better. We remove the false bottom inside the pots and drill holes for drainage because heavy rainfall could cause the roots to sit in water. Nice shape. 16" diameter is a good size for larger plants. We use many of these to create an above ground pollinator garden of native plants where the ground soil (hard clay) is too wet most of the time for gardening.

Drainage is an absolute must

I bought three large containers with the water reservoir, to plant roses in front of the garage doors. I thought what a great idea. I almost killed two new rose bushes, with stagnant smelly water left in the bottom of these pots! That was my mistake! It was very simple to tip the pots with the soil and the roses on their side and punch out drainage holes in the bottom with a nail and a hammer. I had to change the soil in one pot as it had turned rancid. These pots are perfect now with drainage holes!
