One of the main poles broke on the second trip. Not sure how it happened or why, but it broke. My other coleman tent lasted nearly 15 years before the fabric began breaking down.

Not even worth the try.

We bought these tent trying to start camping more often. Used it twice: first time for 2 nights, second time, 3 nights. No inclement weather, no windy conditions, nothing. It's just my husband and I, so nothing can make it even better. Now, we go and put everything back in the bag, as we return home, and the band in the main body pole just ripped, now we have three main- useless body poles. What is more the sewing has defects, so I bet anytime soon we will see how a tiny hole will grow bigger and larger.

Leaky Tent Ruins Camping Trip

It’s a nice tent but the second time we used it was during a very rainy day. It never rained very hard but there was a slow drizzle over the course of several hours. Not only did the rain fly (which was installed correctly and fastened properly) completely fail and rain came in through the top mesh of the tent completely soaking our sleeping bags and pillows, it also appeared the be coming in through the closed window on one of the sides and pooling in the base of the tent there. So disappointed in this product and how useless it is. Nothing like packing up an entire campsite in the dark to drive home because all your stuff is soaked inside.

Terrible tent

Terrible tent. Door too small keeps you tripping everytime you pass thru. Rain fly doesn't cover all windows completely. You will be cold at night! Pretty colors but poor design.

Held up well during storms and no rain got in. We fit a king sized air mattress and a chair in our tent. Setup was decent but took two people for sure.

Disappointing.

When I first bought the tent, I thought it would be perfect to take the kids for simple overnight camping trips. Used it twice and the main tent pole just snapped. No abuse, misuse, or bad weather, it just snapped after the tent was set up. Had to duct tape it for the camping trip and to purchase a replacement pole is a lot overpriced when you count shipping to Hawaii. I may as well buy another tent. Disappointing.

Love the durability of this tent. We take it when we go camping every year along with other tents. We like to have fall patty’s at different camp sites

This tent was a perfect size for our big family. It was also incredibly easy to assemble and well made. It says it is an 8 person, but I think to be comfortable, I wouldn’t put more than 6 people in it.

Leaked a lot

This tent is great for camping. It fits 8 people comfortably and is very easy to setup. I was able to set this up in around 25 minutes. This is able to hold light rain but we had a leak when it rained heavy. This also has small vents for food ventilation.

Roomy tent for a family of 5! We have plenty of room even with an air mattress! Set up was pretty easy! As long as it’s not a monsoon, the tent was leak proof!

Good tent, but (some) poles don't last.

Tent is roomy and comfortable. Tall in the middle. Good for extra gear.

Great size & layout, poor design on the ends/poles

We purchased this tent 2 years ago in the off season. I really want to love it! The size is great for our family of four when we use the cots. However there are two issues, one’s small & one is a deal breaker! The doorway step seems high & we often trip on it going in & out. Not ideal for my husband with mobility issues.

Coleman Montana eight person tent is wonderful and the perfect size for family and friends to go camping in. It is very durable. Ventilation is wonderful and it is way resistant.

Dissapointing result.

I purchased two Montana 8 person tents. I like the design, but it is flawed in shock pole construction. The first tents outer end shock pole (grey one)broke. I order a replacement kit and repaired it thinking that maybe I did something wrong. The second tent was just used last week. After setting the tent up in a hurry due to rain, I sat down to relax. It was then that I started hearing a cracking sound. I first thought it was the storm approaching. After investigating, I found both outer shock poles ( grey ones) had broken. Obviously a design flaw. That is three out of four outer shock poles (grey ones) failing. Very disappointing discovery. I like the tent, but this has me questioning Coleman's commitment to quality. As a positive note, the tent did not leak after several hours of rain. I hope Coleman reads this and make's it right. I don't want my money back or anything like that. I would like some replacement shock poles. That's three outer grey poles with a better build quality, hopefully.

Amazing and durable!

Really like how easy it can be set up and how much wind and rain force it can take. Had this up during a storm and it really blew my mind. Which it had smaller window flaps near the floor level though.

Reliable, durable, roomy

5 years and counting! This is our go to tent. I typically set it up myself (I'm a 5'4" woman) and it takes me about 30 min. It's been durable and we're really happy with it! I just broke the gray side body pole due to my own carelessness. I'm so happy that I can purchase replacement parts easily! My 6'2" hubby can stand without hunching to change his clothes which is an added bonus for him. It comfiest comfortably fits 2 queen air mattresses with room between for luggage and changing.

i absolutely loved this tent , it fit my husband ( 6’4 300 lbs , me 6’0 190 , my american bully , my pit bull hound, my mutt 2 cats, and a chihuahua all in here , ( american bully, and the mutt needed crates ) this keeps bugs out and rain out, weather resistance was phenomenal, easy to assemble,
